DYING LIGHT

ONE MORE DAY

It has been a whole day and jake is still not here, right now the time is 5am i woke up early to get a early start.

James is still asleep and his birthday is tomorrow i think or the day after tomorrow
I dont know but i found out the day james has been asking me about.
So it is day 7 since everything has gone to hell, and there has been to no one else i have seen besides these two guys other than that nothing.

I am still tired i should get some more sleep.

2 HOURS LATER

"MOM!"

"Woah james relax ha you scared me damn."

"Melinda where is jake?"

"Oh i dont know he will be back soon."

"I had a dream about my mommy."

"Really what happened in it?"

"Well me and jake where at home and mommy and daddy where there."

"Ya keep going."

"Well we all were eating food and than mommy got up and opened a door."

"Yes what else."

"Oh and you were in it to."

"Okay but what happened to your mom."

"She opened the door and a monster was there."

"Oh okay what else?"

"Daddy came and pushed the monster and jake moved you to the back of the room."

"What happened to your dad."

"He got bit than more of them came like two more."

"And than what happened?"

"Jake got a bat and killed one and daddy killed the one that was on top of him."

"And the last one."

"It bit mommy."

"And than what happened?"

"I woke up and now i am here."

"Oh well james it was all a dream so it will be okay."

"Ya but i want jake to be here."

"Ya me to."

"You only want jake cause you like jake."

"I do not, stop saying that i dont like him."

"Okay if you say so."

James goes and gets an orange and i stand up to go to the gate to see if jake is anywhere close.

"Melinda!"

I look around to see who called me and i could not see anyone.

"Melinda! Up here open the gate i am back coming down!"

I look up to see jake on top of the building.

"What the hell are you doing up there."

*climbing down*
"Its a long story but i will tell it to you guys right now*

I see that he has different clothes on and gear with him and his back pack is a little torn and he has another backpack with him but under the one he left with.

*plops feet on the ground*
"Open the gate i will tell you all about it."

"Ya sure just kill the zombie real quick or he will attract more of them."

"Okay sure no problem."

I see him pull out a knife and not a bat i wonder what happened to the bat, as i see him run to the zombie i get a little nervous.

The zombie swung for him but he quickly dodged his arm and struck the knife straight to its head, as i see the zombie fall jake quickly pulled the knife out and cleaned the blade and started to walk back to the gate, i start opening the gate and he quickly went under.

"Okay so where have you been i thought you were dead for a second."

"I meet these people and they were climbing and jumping everything."

"How did you met them?"

"I was running from the dead and dropped my bat."

"Okay and than what happened?"

"They saved me and said they should train with us."

"Okay and than what?"

"I stood with them for a day learning basic things."

"What did you learn?"

"Parkour i just learned how to vault over things an how to land with out hurting myself and i did like 100 push ups and pull ups."

"Why?"

"They said i need to be strong."

"Oh i see."

"Ya they had me do lots of things."

"What is in the other bag?"

"Oh a gun is in that one."

"A gun!?"

"They taught me how to use it and how to reload it."

"What are you going to do with a gun."

"They said it might help when time comes."

"Mmm okay than james is in the other room waiting for you."

"Okay thanks for taking care of him."

"No problem but did you get him a present?"

"Ya its small but i think he will like it, his birth day is one day away"

"Wait it is tomorrow?"

"Ya."

"Oh well okay than."

Jake goes to the other room as i can hear james scream his name and a thud i walk to the room and jake is against the wall lifting james in the air saying to him that he would always come back for him.

Sometimes i forget that we could be eaten by zombies at any moment in are life when i am with these two.
