A chance to go

It's been 25 minutes and I can see Melinda at the gate.

"Melinda open the door we have company."

"Oh ugh okay."

She began to open the door as I walked in so did the other 4.

"Oh ugh hi I am Melinda."

"Jordan."

"Carlos."

"Hanna."

"Jessica."

"James get over here."
I yelled for him to make sure he meets the 4 that saved me.

"Coming."

*walks through the door*
"Okay okay what is it."

"Hey James these guys can take us to the place that mom and dad are, want to go?"

"Mmm no."

"What, why not?"

"Cause they died I don't want to see them like the monsters."

"They are not dead James."

"Yes I saw it in my dream."

"James look it was a dream."

"Okay if you say so."

"Start packing everything okay James."

"Here guys let me bring you down food."

I see Melinda going to the other room and coming back with 4 MREs for the 4 that are just standing there well Jess and Jordan are sitting.

"Jack, I don't know what to pack!"

"This kid..hold on I am coming."

I start to walk to the room as I see him messing with his clothes and his toy spider man he wore his neckless but it was just pure silver with my hero written on the back.
Funny thing is that James did not know it was spider man neckless he just thought it was a cool neckless.

"Okay James go to the other room while I set everything to go."

He walked out the room as I packed his bag with MREs and his clothes his back pack was a little heavier but nothing he could not handle.
As I started packing my stuff Melinda did the same with hers since she came here with hardly anything in her pack she fit most of the meds in her pack.

I had a satchel and a backpack I put the satchel on first filled with small things we will be needing and the backpack had most the big things.

"Hey jack you need help?"

I turned and saw Jordan with an open duffel bag.

"Ya how much can you fit in there?"

"It's empty so I could probably fit everything that you have left."

I turn to see one box of MREs and a few meds and bandages.

"We'll all that over there is the last of it."

"Okay just throw them in here."

I grabbed the box and tossed them all in same with the meds and bandages.

Jordan and Melinda walked out of the room as I was about to I turned on last time before leaving this place...it was empty only thing there was a few oranges and bananas
The water was in Melinda's and my bags so we had everything we need.

"Ready to go kid?"

"Yes."

"It's about 3 hour walk if we go through the free way and close to a 2 hour walk if we go through the sewers."

"Let's take the free way I kinda feel like it would be safer."

"Okay kid you the boss lets go."

I see the 4 in front of me as James is on the shoulders of Carlos since he was bigger than the rest like with muscles James must feel like a feather to him.

So 3 hours he we go.
