yoongi sighed. he was rummaging through his backpack that morning at school when he found a note inside.

"how cheesy." jimin cringed when he saw the pickup line.

"how did that girl manage to put this inside my bag without me knowing?" yoongi pursed his lips.

jimin chuckled, "i wonder who she is."

"she's that hyejin girl. the new transferee." yoongi told him.

jimin widened his eyes, "your seat mate?"

yoongi nodded, leaning against his chair comfortably.

"wow, that was unexpected. i never knew she has a thing on you."

right at that moment, the door of the classroom opened, revealing hyejin with her friends.

yoongi groaned, "guess i'll have to survive another day of hell."

jimin laughed, "good luck, hyung." he said before facing back to the front.

"hi, yoongi! how's your day going lately? mine was pretty fine, and guess what? it's even better now that i'm here with you." hyejin beamed, taking her seat beside yoongi's.

yoongi, after hearing her words, cringed, "ugh. just leave me alone, please."

hyejin giggled, "i guess someone's having a bad day. don't worry, i can fix it. just tell me what your problem is and i'll try to help if i can."

she pouted when yoongi didn't reply, "well what are you waiting for? come on, tell me. don't be shy. i don't bite, you know."

"get lost."

hyejin frowned, "odd. oh, well. i'll just get back to you later."

"aren't you at least gonna buy a drink?" hoseok asked yoongi.

they were currently at a cafe near yoongi's house, waiting for their order.

"no, i'm fine." yoongi mumbled.

"alright then. where's jimin? he's late for like 5 minutes already." hoseok complained.

"god, be patient, will you? it's just 5 minutes! i'm sure he's on his way right now." yoongi sighed.

"whatever."

yoongi looked around the cafe but then stopped when he saw a familiar figure in the distance.

she was laying her head on the table, her shoulders moving up and down continuously which showed that she was crying.

yoongi squinted his eyes for a better vision, he was sure that he knew the girl.

he frowned deeply, mumbling the words, "hyejin?"

"what? did you say something?" hoseok asked, tearing yoongi's gaze away from the girl.

"huh? n-nothing." yoongi cleared his throat.
