"jimin?" yoongi pulled the hem of jimin's shirt to catch his attention.

"yeah?" he looked over, but yoongi was busy reading something with a frown on his face.

he then shoved the note into jimin's face, "i found this at my desk."

"what's this? 'if i could rearrange the alphabet i'd put u and i together. but i is already in the middle of something with a, d and s, so i guess it wouldn't work. -khj'." jimin looked at yoongi in confusion.

"is she sad?" he frowned.

yoongi shrugged, "i guess so. i told you i've caught her crying a few times."

"but why? she looks so happy all the time." jimin scratched his head and puffed his cheeks.

"that's what i'd like to find out." yoongi sighed and looked at the door, waiting for hyejin to show up.

but the seokjin has already shown up before she did, and as far as yoongi knows, she was rarely late for class.

the class started but hyejin still wasn't present. yoongi started to feel concerned and felt the need to look for her.

"seokjin i need to go to the restroom." he stood up and was ready to go but seokjin stopped him.

"no, i know you're not going there. you're just wasting time."

"hyung, please." yoongi looked at seokjin in the eye seriously.

the whole class including jimin turned around and looked at yoongi in shock. even jimin had never seen yoongi so desperate before.

seokjin was taken aback as well, so he couldn't help but allow him to go, "fine, go. but don't take too long."

yoongi nodded and dashed out of the class, searching through every corner of the school.

he messed his hair up in frustration, "that was so embarrassing, why did i act like that in front of the class?"

"where did that girl go anyway?" he muttered in annoyance and continued looking.

a few minutes passed and he was starting to get worried. he didn't want seokjin to yell at him again.

yoongi stopped in his tracks and turned around, ready to return to his clas after giving up.

he looked up and shut his eyes tightly, "i don't know anymore. i've tried my best. this isn't my problem anyway, i don't need to care."

he sighed and began walking back but then abruptly stopped as he thought of something.

"don't tell me." he looked at the stairs across him, "the rooftop?"

he hesitated for a while but decided to check anyway. seokjin wouldn't mind him taking a lot of time, would he?

he noticed the door to the rooftop were slightly open, so he took a peek and saw her.

she was standing at the edge of the building, looking at the view in front of— wait.

yoongi widened his eyes in realization, "what is she— hey!"

hyejin flinched at the sudden voice so she turned around but lost her balance and almost tripped.

yoongi felt like his heart was about to drop when it happened, but composed himself.

"come down, it's dangerous." he said calmly.

hyejin looked flustered for a moment, but smiled sheepishly after and cautiously took a step down and away from the edge.

"i was just enjoying the view. seoul is really beautiful, don't you think so?"

"whatever you were thinking of before i interrupted, don't do it. that's not the right way." yoongi said in a serious tone and looked at her sincerely.

hyejin looked down and gave a half-hearted smile, "what do you mean? i wasn't gonna do anything, don't worry."

"i'm not an idiot, you know you can't fool me like that." he deadpanned.

hyejin ignored him and walked down the stairs at a fast pace.

yoongi sighed and followed her soon after, catching up to her before they reach their class.

he grabbed her by the wrist and turned her around to look at him. she avoided his eyes and looked down.

"hyejin, look at me."

but she didn't listen to him and looked away.

"please." he pleaded. hyejin looked up in surprise.

"i know you're going through a hard time. instead of bottling things up like that, sometimes it's better to tell people about your problems. you can tell me, i'll listen, and maybe i can help." he told her.

hyejin sighed in frustration, "i'm okay, yoongi. i really am. why don't you believe me?"

"then what's with the note you sent me this morning? it was so unlike of you."

she groaned, "i was just in a bad mood when i wrote it that time because i lost my favorite pair of shoes."

"you know i'd never believe that, right?" yoongi raised his brows.

hyejin rolled her eyes, "suit yourself."

she loosened yoongi's grip on her wrist and entered the class without looking back.
