As the sounds of a Griever climbing the Homestead started, the door slammed open. A figured staggered in, mumbling nonsense. As they got past the shadows, it was clear who it was. "Gally?"

Rose questioned, her jaw dropping in awe at the friend she thought she had lost. The three boys in front of her seemed to be just as in awe as she was. Gally should have been dead, but he was standing right in front of them. How is that possible?

"You!" Gally sneered. The yell was full of agony and fear. It consumed the whole room, sending an overwhelming sense of disturbance through everyone. "It's all your fault!" Gally pointed at Thomas who looked petrified. Without any warning, Gally launched forward with a closed fist connecting it straight into the side of Thomas's head. Newt snapped out his gaze, jumped up, and pushed Gally. Gally slammed into the desk by the window while Thomas stumbled to get to his feet. Minho and Rose sat, stunned at what they had witnessed.

"It can't be solved." Gally lowers his voice. It becoming raspy, spooky, pitiful almost. "The suck Maze'll kill all you shanks...The Grievers'll kill you...one every night till it's over...I...it's better this way..."

Rose snapped out of her trance and stood up. She took a few steps closer to Gally but he backed away, like a scared puppy. "Gally?" Rose whispered.

"Gally, shut your bloody hole." Newt says quietly, standing right behind Rose. "There's a Griever right out there. Just sit on your butt and be quiet. Maybe it'll go away." Newt keeps his calm voice.

"You don't get it Newt. You're too stupid- you've always been too stupid. There's no way out – There's no way to win!" Gally's voice gradually getting louder. "They're gonna kill you, all of you – one by one!" Screaming the last word, Gally threw himself toward the window and started tearing the panels, one by one.

"No!" Newt and Rose yell simultaneously launching forward. Newt reached Gally first but he had already ripped the second the panel. The force of which Gally used to pull the panel, was too much. The board connected with Newt's head sending him flying to the bed, blood spraying. Thomas joined in, started yelling at Gally.

"Gally! You need to stop!" Rose grabbed Gally's arms, in hope it would stop him, but it didn't. He kept tearing at the panels. The next one, connecting Rose in the eye. "Shuck! Stop!" Rose held her eye, taking a step back from her once sane friend. Minho took his chance and stood up, taking Rose by the shoulders and moving her back to the wall.

"Are you jacked?" Minho questioned. "He's completely lost it. Don't need you hurt again." Minho lifted Rose's head, to make sure she still had an eye with amount of pressure that hit it. Rose yanked her head away and looked over at Gally and Thomas. Gally ripping at the panels, blood coming from his fingertips.

"Gally, what are you doing?" Thomas took his chance, try to get Gally calm.

"You shut your shuck-face, Thomas!" Gally screamed. "I know who are but I don't care anymore! I can only do what's right!" Gally ripped the final lose, glass shattering across the room. Minho using himself as a shield to cover Rose from the lose shards. When the glass finished hitting the floor, the Galders looked up and saw the horrendous Griever arm coning in through the window. It noticed Newt. Lifeless on the bed. The arm reached for the boy.

"Newt!" Rose screamed as she tried to get to him but Minho held her back. Thomas was stumbling to find a weapon.

"No one every understood! But you!" Gally's final words filled the room as he pointed at Rose as the Griever tore away at the Homestead. You're gonna drag me into this, now? Rose thought. "No one ever understood what I saw! What the Changing did to me! Don't go back to the real world, Thomas! You don't...want...to remember!" Gally finished his final words, giving Thomas a long, haunted look. His eyes filled with terror. Before anyone could stop him, he jumped out the window and onto the back of a Griever.
