Rose is awakened by Newt getting out of bed. He looks back and gives her an apologetic look but keeps walking towards the door. Rose goes to sit up but Newt stops and looks back at her. "I'll be right back." Newt whispers with a wide grin. Rose nods but continues to sit up and rests her head on the wall, smiling to herself. It was the first time she felt completely refreshed, despite the lingering pain in her back. Rose checks her watch and it's about time for the doors to open, which is probably where Newt is headed. Rose comes to realize her day will be long and boring. Chuck will be working, Gally will be out working, Minho will be running, and Newt won't let her go visit Frypan while he cooks. Jeff and Clint will be busy working with the girl. It seems that it will be just her, alone in her room.

Rose tries not to think about her day and closes her eyes to concentrate on the noises around the Glade. She finds the sounds of everything soothing in the early morning and late at night. She can hear the animals from across the Glade and the Doors opening. Rose's heart sinks a little hearing the Doors, knowing she won't be running today, doing her job. She hates feeling useless and not being able to run is exactly what's making her feel that way. Other than that, there isn't much else going on since everyone is still sleeping. Ben is no longer screaming, causing Rose to assume Jeff and Clint have him under control and he's about done going through The Changing. Rose is happy about that, she's seen other's go through it and it's painful just to watch, let alone go through. A knock on the door brings Rose back to reality as she tells them to come on.

"How's your back?" Jeff asks as he comes in with a handful of fresh bandages.

"I mean, it shuck hurts but at least I wasn't bloody stung, ya?" Rose says with a plain expression as she sits up, preparing herself for more pain.

"Good that." Jeff sighs as he takes a seat next to Rose.

She turns her back towards him and lifts her shirt up like she did the night before. Jeff dabs some water to cleanse the wound causing Rose to flinch from the pain. It isn't as bad as it was last time, but it's still enough to send a stinging pain completely up her spine. A few deep breaths later and Jeff is completely done bandaging her back.

"How's it look?" Rose asks, adjusting herself back in the position she was in when he walked in.

"It's still gross. But there's not blood, mainly just clear puss." Jeff says as he heads back towards the door.

"Ew." Rose says with a look of disgust. She's never been a fan of anything dealing with puss or blood. It's a miracle she survived being a Med-Jack as long as she was. Jeff looks tired though which makes Rose switch the conversation onto him. "What's wrong?"

"Man." Jeff sighs as he leans against the doorway. "Alby and Newt have Clint and me up all night keeping an eye on coma girl. Freaking tired." Jeff rubs his hand over the top of his head.

When he explains, Rose notices the bags under his eyes. He literally looks like he hasn't slept for more than 5 minutes in the past twenty four hours. Rose apologizes and gives him a sympathetic smile. She really does feel bad for Jeff. She's been there, having to stay up all night with someone on Alby's orders. Saying it sucks, is an understatement.

"Just holler if you need anything. Newt told us if you get out of bed, he's putting us both in the slammer." Jeff scuffs but his voice holds a little sarcasm. He doesn't wait for Rose to respond before he leaves the room.

Rose isn't surprised by the slightest that Newt threatened Jeff and Clint. He's always been overprotective and he knows that Jeff and Clint won't even think about going against his words. Newt isn't real scary, but he follows through with his threats. Newt comes back shortly after Jeff left. The Runners must have gotten off well for Newt to be back already.
