Just look!
I'll pick you up at 7 for tonight.I reread the series of messages that Alex and I sent each other and I couldn't help but grin with excitement. I then stood up from my bed and followed Alex's instructions and opened my window.
There, perched on the balcony, were gigantic, black paper bags. Each of the paper bag contained a set of different things. I noticed that all of them had make-up products, a dress, jewelry and shoes.
I grabbed all of the paper bags, brought it to my room and proceeded to open one of the bags. It contained a paper bag from Sephora containing make-up that can last me a life time. Another was a paper bag that was labled Tiffany & Co. The tiffany blue paper bag contained a beautiful sapphire necklace with earrings to match. The next paper bag contained a beautiful blue dress that was off shoulder and reached until my knees. There was another paper bag that had blue stilletoes that was about 4 inches.
The next paper bag had MAC Cosmetics as its make-up. It has Pandora as its jewelry with a charm bracelet that had several red charms wound around it and had a beautiful, gold necklace with a flame pendant. The dress that it contained was a tube dress that hugged my body tightly and reached until mid thigh. It had strappy black heels to compliment the dress.
All the other papers bags had things like these and I couldn't help but want to slap Alex in the face as well as kiss him. There were around 10 paper bags and the price range of all these paper bags had to be around $1000-$1500. Holy fuck, Alex. This is too much.
I grabbed my phone and dialled Alex's number. He picked it up immediately.
"So, do you like your gifts?" Alex said when he picked up.
"Alex, I can't take these. They're too expensive!" I said.
"Yes you can and you will. You'll keep all the paper bags with you. It's my gift to you." Alex insisted. "Don't you like it?"
"Truth be told, I love it," I replied guiltily.
"Then you get to keep it. I know you like it and that you're just torn on whether or not to keep it."
"I kinda am, actually. They're beautiful. Thank you, Alex. I mean that from the buttom of my heart. No one has ever pampered me like this before."
"You deserve the world, Megan." Alex replied. "That's the least I can do. Besides, I expect you to wear one of it for our date."
My toes curled from delight. Wow. Alex does know how to make a girl feel special.
"Okay," I replied meekly.
