Chapter 9

"It came back negative." Arthur bursts out laughing.

"Dude! Not cool! You really scared me for a minute." Alfred stands up.

"You should've seen your face!" Arthur holds his stomach as he laughs.

"Jesus Christ." Alfred sits down again rubbing his face. Arthur continues to laugh hysterically in the background.

"Anyway let's get a move on, we have to get to work." Arthur wipes the tears running down his face.

"Yeah let's go." Alfred sighs. They get up and grab a few things before leaving the house. Alfred locks the front door as Arthur hops in the car.

"I think I'll stay with you at work for a while before I go to work, or else I'll be too early." Alfred says.

"I'm telling Mathew about your reaction." Arthur smirks.

"Please don't." Alfred pulls out of the driveway.

"I also realised that I should probably go home." Arthur chuckles.

"Don't leave yet, I mean you were sick yesterday you could get sick again." Alfred looks at Arthur.

"Alright." Arthur laughs. The two listen to the radio as they drive to the cafe, Arthur every now and then starts to laugh again but quickly tries to stifle it when Alfred glares at him. Once they pull into the car park situated behind the cafe they hop out and Alfred quickly enters the cafe before Arthur.

"Why are you in such a foul mood?" Mathew asks. The cafe hadn't opened yet so the staff were lazing around just before it opened.

"You would not believe what I just did." Arthur starts laughing.

"What did you do?" Francis questions.

"I freaked Alfred out by making him think I was pregnant." Arthur grins.

"Shut up." Alfred grumbles.

"You should've seen the look on his face." Arthur says.

"I can't even imagine how funny that must've been." Mathew grins and starts laughing.

"You two are so mean to me." Alfred pouts. Arthur just laughs and pecks his cheek.

"Hey, I do it with love." Arthur smiles. Alfred just frowns at him before pecking his cheek.

"Anyway, I guess you must've just been sick yesterday." Mathew says.

"Yeah, after Alfred said that I should take a pregnancy test I realised that I could be pregnant. Although as you can see, I know how to handle myself in heats." Arthur gestures to himself. The others laugh before nodding.

"I should probably go." Alfred says.

"Alright, bye." Arthur and Alfred share a kiss. Alfred and Mathew share a quick hug before Alfred waves to the others and leaves out the back door.

"Man you got him good." Mathew laughs.

"Yeah I did." Arthur laughs as well.

"Well let's get this show on the road." Francis claps his hands together. Everyone nods and starts getting ready to take orders when Antonio opens the door and changes the sign to 'open' instead of 'closed'. Two alphas walk in and ask for some takeaway coffee before they leave again.

"Oh Alfred forgot to grab a coffee. Oh well his loss." Arthur shrugs. Lovino chuckles next to him and jumps slightly when Feliciano appears.

"I've told you a million times, don't scare people like that." Lovino snaps.

"Sorry fratello." Feliciano apologises.

"Shouldn't you be cooking?" Arthur asks.

"No one has ordered food so I don't have to do anything." The Italian smiles.

"Feli! I need some help!" Francis calls out.

"Well your freedom didn't last long." Lovino laughs.

"Coming!" Feliciano hurries off. It was around an hour later when Arthur had to stop for a second and lean on the counter.

"What's wrong?" Lovino asks.

"Oh nothing, just a experiencing some cramps." Arthur waves the other omega off.

"Alright if you think you're fine." Lovino says. Arthur just nods and gets back to work. Francis glances over at Arthur with a concerned expression. The alpha knew something was up with Arthur, he just couldn't put his finger on it. The test said he wasn't pregnant however his scent had changed slightly, it seemed like Alfred's scent slightly hung over him and Arthur's own scent was stronger than usual. It was like they were trying to hide something, but obviously it was instinct since the two didn't know anything about it.

"Can you sense that something's off with Arthur?" Antonio asks quietly.

"Yeah, obviously Alfred and Arthur can't smell the difference in Arthur's scent. Have you also noticed how Mathew, Feliciano and Lovino seem slightly on edge around Arthur? Obviously only us two alphas seem to actually distinguish the smell." Francis responds quietly back.

"Well obviously it doesn't involve us, so I think we should stay out of the way of their problems." Antonio says.

"Oui, however I might recommend to Alfred that he take Arthur to a doctor. Just to get a check up." Antonio nods before going back to serving customers. Another hour later and Arthur had to take a break and take something for the cramps. Mathew dropped in every now and then to make sure Arthur was still fine, finally leaving when Arthur shooed him away.

"I'm fine Mathew, just give me a few minutes and I'll be back on my feet." Arthur says.

"If you say so." Mathew sighs and goes back to work. After another five minutes Arthur forces himself up and goes back to work. Every now and then Arthur would slow down before pushing himself to quicken his pace.

"I think I might text Alfred to come pick Arthur up and take him home." Mathew says.

"Don't worry, leave the boy alone, he'll be very angry with you if you don't let him finish this day. Let him text Alfred on his own." Francis looks at Mathew.

"Good point." Mathew chuckles. It felt like it took forever for it to reach 4pm to Arthur. The omega was ready to just sit down and wait for Alfred, however he couldn't bring himself to let the others down. He'd had a day off yesterday, he couldn't just leave early today. When Alfred did arrive Francis pulled him off to the side before he went over to Arthur.

"Alfred, I think you should look into getting an appointment with Sofia for Arthur." Francis says.

"Why? Sofia specialises in pregnancy." Alfred frowns.

"Look, just do it. I think it would benefit both of you. If it helps, I believe you can get an appointment sometime next week if you book now." Francis sighs.

"Artie isn't pregnant, he took a test." Alfred crosses his arms.

"Amigo, you can't rely on those tests, some of them are faulty and really you should use three instead of just one." Antonio says.

"Fine, but why do you want me to do this all of a sudden?" Alfred asks.

"Well, although you experience morning sickness usually six weeks into pregnancy it varies between omegas. Yet today Arthur was experiencing cramps and that is a very common sign in pregnant omegas." Antonio replies.

"Oh, well I'll look into getting an appointment with Sofia." Alfred says.

"Arthur let's go home!" Alfred calls out. Arthur appears by Alfred's side within seconds, looking up to the alpha with bright green eyes.

"Alright." Arthur says. Francis and Antonio exchange a confused look as they watch Arthur happily lean into Alfred's arms.

A/N: So I'm thinking of doing a story dedicated to answering questions about this story and of course the one before this. I figured that I'd answer any questions whether it be how scenting works to who Tulipa is. Just let me know if you think that's a good idea and I'll get to work on it.
