There in our living stood the last person I thought I'd see any time soon. The person I resented so much. The person i harbored so much hate for. The person who seemed to find many ways to break my little heart every time we make any kind of contact.

"Well I was called out here for a conference for the next couple of days at the last minute." He said standing up from the couch he was sitting on.

"That still doesn't explain why your in our house" I said crossing my arms.

"Angel. Behave." My mom said. I looked at her, and the only thing that came to mind was her crying because of what he told her last night.

"Why ma?"

"Because he is still your father Angel." She said putting her hands on her hips and tilting her head a little. Although that stand use to get me to be quiet it just won't do today.

"No ma. I'm not gone sit here and act like I respect this man after what he told you. How he treated you like trash and didn't even care if your  broke from what was said or not. I don't care about what he said to me because we don't know each other so why should what he say to me even affect me" I lied through my teeth, but you could see in his face that he still didn't care.

"But Mom I will not just let him come in here and act like he can comfortably visit after what he said to you. He had you questioning if you were a good Mom, you know damn well you're a good Mom and you don't ever have to question that when it comes to me." I said.

"Look Angel, I-"

"No. I don't want to hear anything you have to say. I don't even want you here, after what you did yesterday. Don't you have a family to spend time with, that's not us."

"My family is coming out here Friday evening. We all were suppose to come out here together, but like I said earlier and you probably wasn't listening. I was called in last minute for a work conference. Therefore I have to be here. I came here to talk to your Mother, and visit you guys and maybe say hi."

"Well hey. How are you? That's good. Oh look at where the time has gone, it was nice of you to visit, I guess you gotta go now" I said.

"Angel, I know what I said hurt you guys feelings. But you asked me to be honest, and I told you how things were gonna be. You wouldn't be so butt hurt about the situation if you didn't push for me to tell you the "truth". But you pushed and you pried, and that's just how the truth came out."

"You are such an asshole. How could you stand there and say this all happened because of me pushing you to be honest. Your my Dad your suppose to be honest with me whether I ask you or not. Don't sit here and try to say that the reason for your "honesty" was because of me pushing you to do something that you should've been doing since the beginning. WHAT kind of father are you."

"I'm clearly not the kind of father you want, but I'm the kind of father you got. Don't sit there and try to guilt trip me into making me feel bad and loving you more, cause it's not gonna do anything but make me regret my decision of meeting you and wanting to be in your life."

"You know what you can leave." My mom jumped in. You can tell in her face she was so upset. My Mom doesn't like a lot of conflict, and she doesn't like dealing with mess, but when it comes to me she will die in a war.

"Look, I know I might look like the bad guy now, but you gotta understand where I'm coming from Angel."

"I understand your full of shit. Now like my mom said, you may leave." I said walking away and opening the door so he can walk his ass right out of the door, and i wouldn't mind if he didn't come back at all. It's not like he wants to be here anyway

He walked to the door and turned around like he wanted to say something but he kept it to himself and just walked away, got into his truck, and sped off.

I walked back in the house checking to see if my mom was alright.

"I'm sorry you gotta go through this baby girl" My mom walked up to me hugging me.

"Mom I'm fine. Seriously. It's not like it's a big loss anyway if he never comes back. I don't have a relationship with the man and at this point I don't even mind. What did you see in him anyway?" I asked her.

"Believe it or not, when we were together he wasn't like that. After I got pregnant and told him that's when he started changing. But now I think him being nice was only an act to get into my panties. Listen, don't ever let any boy sweet talk you out of your panties. Be smarter than me honey. Don't chase after a boy who doesn't love you, and don't fight over a boy who doesn't fight for you. Don't be afraid to be independent either, but don't be afraid to love either. Just be smart and trust your gut." She said. I nodded my head and she walked away on her way to her room.

"Oh Mom, I'm bout to leave. Me and your other children are going to eat at that Chinese restaurant around the corner from the school. Love you. See you later." I said. I grabbed my phone, my keys, and my purse and headed outside.

Walking outside I saw Chasen's car, and remembered that Chai was riding with me, so I had to go over there and get her. It was better to just go get her instead of calling her and she not answer the phone like she always does.
