Tereza sat in a dark corner of the Prancing Pony, watching everything around her. She glanced to her right and saw someone sit down beside her. She pulled the hood of her cloak further over her face as the man sat down. The man put his pipe in his mouth and looked around slowly.
"Strider." Tereza said as she saw four hobbits walk in. She smiled as he looked at her quickly.
"Ruunya?" Strider asked as he looked at her. "Is that you? I thought you were dead."
"I'm full of many surprises." She said as she smirked under her hood and watched the hobbits.
"Sam, he'll be here. He'll come." A dark-haired hobbit said.
"What's that?" asked another as one came and sat down.
"This, my friend, is a pint." said the one who sat down.
"It comes in pints? I'm getting one!" said the one who asked as he got up and went to the bar.
"You've had a whole half already." said the one next to the dark-haired hobbit. "That fellow's done nothing but stare at you since we've arrived. The girl too." he added as he looked to the dark corner.
"Excuse me, that man in the corner, who is he?" the dark-hair hobbit asked the butterbar as he walked by. "And the girl?" he added quickly.
"Their some of them Rangers; they're dangerous folk they are, wandering the wilds. What his right name is, I never heard, but round here he's known as Strider. The girl is called Ruunya." the butterbar said as he walked away.
"Strider. Ruunya." the dark-haired hobbit said quietly.
" Frodo Baggins. He's my second cousin once removed, on his mother's side and my third cousin twice removed on his father's side...if you follow me." the hobbit at the bar yelled after a moment.
"Pippin!" the dark-haired hobbit went to the bar.
"Steady on, Frodo!" Pippin said as he pushed Frodo to the floor.
Tereza watched as Frodo disappeared and Strider stood up quickly. Strider picked Frodo up by his collar as he reappeared. Tereza followed Strider as he took the hobbit to the room.
"You draw far too much attention to yourself...Mr. Underhill." Strider said as he dragged the shaking hobbit in the room.
"What do you want?" Frodo asked
"A little more caution from you...that is no trinket you carry." Tereza said before Strider could.
"I carry nothing." Frodo quickly.
"Indeed? I can usually avoid being seen if I wish, but to disappear entirely... that is a rare gift." Strider said.
"Who are you?" the scared hobbit asked.
"Are you frightened?" Strider asked
"Yes." Frodo said as he nodded.
"Not nearly frightened enough. I know what hunts you." Strider said as they heard a noise from the corridor
Tereza looked at the door as it opened and saw Frodo's friends. She smirked as she saw one squaring off with his fists, another with a candlestick, and Pippin a chair.
"Let him go or I'll have you, Longshanks!" the one squaring off yelled.
"You have a stout heart, little Hobbit, but that alone won't save you...You can no longer wait for the Wizard, Frodo. They're coming." Strider said as a slight smile appeared on his lips.
Tezera looked out the window as Frodo stood there, shaking. She looked at Strider as they heard screeching. The other three hobbits jumped out of their beds quickly.
"Where are they?" Frodo asked quietly.
" They were once men." Strider said as he glanced at Frodo. "Great Kings of men. Then Sauron the deceiver gave to them Nine Rings of Power. Blinded by their greed they took them without question, one by one falling into darkness and now they are slaves to his will." Strider looked out the window and then turned to the hobbits. "They are the Nazgul, Ringwraiths, neither living or dead. At all times they feel the presence of the ring...drawn to the power of the one..they will never stop hunting you."
