Tereza looked around as the Fellowship left in small elven boats. She looked at the hobbits and looked at Aragorn as he spoke.
"Frodo." he said as Frodo looked up. "The Argonath... Long have I desired to look upon the kings of old...my kin."
The Fellowship looked at the statues as they went past them. They jumped out of the boats as they hit the shore.
"We cross the lake at nightfall, hide the boats and continue on foot..we approach Mordor from the North." Aragorn said as Tereza's feet hit the ground.
" Oh, yes, just a simple matter of finding our way through Emyn Muil, an impassable labyrinth of razor sharp rocks. And after that gets even better...a festering, stinking marshland, far as the eye can see." Gimli said.
"That is our Road...I suggest you take some rest and recover your strength, Master Dwarf." Aragorn turned to him.
"Recover my..." Gimli muttered as Tereza turned to Aragorn.
"We should leave now." Legolas said to him.
"No. Orcs patrol the Eastern shore. We must wait for cover of darkness." Aragorn replied.
"It is not the Eastern shore that worries me. A shadow and a threat has been growing in my mind. Something draws near, I can feel it." Legolas said.
"Where's Frodo?" Merry asked as he looked around.
"None of us should wander alone; you least of all. So much depends on you...Frodo? I know why you seek solitude. You suffer, I see it day by day. Are you sure you do not suffer needlessly? Let me help you. There are other ways, Frodo..other paths that we might take." Boromir said as he walked to Frodo.
"I know what you would say, and it would seem like wisdom but for the warning of my heart." Frodo said.
"Warning? Against what? We are all afraid, Frodo. But to let that fear drive us to destroy what hope we have...don't you see that is madness?" Boromir responded.
"There is no other way." Frodo told him.
"I ask only for the strength to defend my people. If you would but lend me the ring..." Boromir said as Tereza walked over.
"No. . . "Frodo said.
"Why do you recoil? I am no thief." Boromir asked Frodo.
"You are not yourself." Frodo told him as he saw Tereza. She placed a finger on her lips as she watched.
"What chance do you think you have? They will find you, they will take the ring and you will beg for death before the end." Boromir said as Frodo started to leave. "You fool! It is not yours save by unhappy chance...it might have been mine. It should be mine. Give it to me! Give me the ring. I see your mind...you will take the ring to Sauron. You will betray us! You go to your death and the death of us all. Curse you! Curse you and your Halflings!" Boromir said as he fell. "Frodo! Frodo! What have I done. Please, Frodo... I'm sorry, Frodo...Frodo..."
"Boromir?" Tereza asked as she walked over to him cautiously.
"Tereza?" Boromir looked at her.
She got ready to reply as an arrow went passed her head. They both stood up and ran to where it came from.
"Run! Run!" Boromir said as they saw Merry and Pippin. "Tereza!"
Tereza released an arrow as she was pushed over by Boromir. She looked up from the ground and saw him fall.
"Aaaaagh! Boromir! Boromir!" the hobbits yelled as they were picked up.
"They took the little ones... Frodo...where is Frodo?" Boromir asked Aragorn walked over.
"I would have followed you, my brother...my captain, my King." Boromir said as he looked at Tereza as she walked over. "Tereza."
"I'm here." Tereza said as she knelt down beside him. She felt his hand wipe the tears from her cheek as they fell.
"Be brave, Ruunya." He said as he place something her her hand. She looked at it and saw it was a bracelet with Gondor's tree on it. She looked back at Boromir as he died.
"Be at peace, son of Gondor." Aragorn said as Legolas and Gimli came over. "They will look for his coming from the white tower...but he will not return." Tereza stood up as they looked at her.
"If we are quick, we will catch Frodo and Sam before nightfall. You mean not to follow them..." Legolas said as they saw Sam and Frodo on the other side.
"Frodo's fate is no longer in our hands." Aragorn said as they watched them.
"Then it has all been in vain...the fellowship has failed." Gimli said.
"Not if we hold true to each other. We will not abandon Merry and Pippin to torment and death, not while we have strength left. We travel light. Let's hunt some Orc." Aragorn said as Tereza smirked.
"Yes! Ha!" Gimli said as they ran into the woods.
