Halloween Movies.

Gosh, if anyone ever asked me what my favorite movie was, it would be, hands down, a Halloween movie. And no, I'm not talking about those scary movies that'd probably make you have nightmares for weeks.

I'm talking about those Halloween movies that play every October. You know, the kiddy ones.

They are the fucking best movies in the entire world. I love them so much. I will admit, those movies influenced me a lot when I was a child. Actually, they still influence me now [I'm still waiting for the day when my magical powers will show up].

This is why I get upset every time I think about Halloweentown.

I don't know if you guys know this movie, so I'll just explain it a bit for you.

So, the movie begins with this girl named Marnie. Now, it's Halloween and her mother doesn't let her and her siblings [Sophie and Dylan] go out to trick-or-treat. Why? Well, at the beginning she doesn't say anything, but Marnie finds out later. She's from a family of witches.

Their grandmother, Aggie Cromwell comes visiting that day. Every year she visits only for a few hours on Halloween. The reason why is that she's from Halloweentown, a place where all the creatures live in peace, away from the mortal realm. The bus only takes them to and from Halloweentown until midnight in the mortal world.

Like every good movie, there's a villain that they have to defeat, and etc.

There are four movies in total. There was supposed to be a fifth one called "Halloweentown 5: She's the Witch" but in the end they didn't film it. Why?

Well, the actress for Marnie for the first three movies was Kimberly J. Brown. For the fourth movie, Sara Paxton replaced her because Brown had another movie to film, or something like that. Now, for the fifth movie that was supposed to come out three years ago, neither of the actresses wanted to film another one, so they dropped it.

They. Dropped. It.

Why couldn't they just get another actress? I'm pretty sure someone would love the opportunity at that moment to be in a movie. Instead they left it as that, with many people a tad bit angry about it. I mean, it's a good movie series, so of course it would.

Gah, it just makes me so upset. The last movie was left on a cliffhanger. I wanted to find out what happened after. I just watched the movie on TV about half an hour ago.

To be honest, I didn't even know it was on. I just turned on the TV [something I haven't done in a while], and I checked the schedule. I was so pleasantly surprised when it was there. I watched the entire thing.

If I knew all the Halloweentown movies had been on every weekend, I would've spent my time watching them. That's just how good they were.

Secretly though, I'm hoping that they put "The Little Vampire" on. That is for sure my all-time favorite movie. It's really amusing to watch. I'm not going to go into details, because then I'll just launch into a whole retelling of it. It's better to see for yourself. Really, you should.

I don't know if this was really a so-called "rant" or not, but I did it because I like talking about useless things. It takes up my time. Actually, another funny thing is that while writers [including myself], we all say that we're very busy and all, but I can think about all the times I sat here in front of the computer doing nothing. It was more like I didn't want to work on my story. Also, if any writer tells you they don't do that, you guys are lying. There is no way there hasn't been a moment when you've been sitting there doing nothing, because you don't want to work on your story. Only is it that when we really are busy is that we want to work on our stories.

Ironic, isn't it?
