Avi's P.O.V.

"Can I... ask you something?"

Here we go. I am pretty nervous.

"Of course. You can ask me anything, Daddy" he says with a smile on his face.

"You know me, Mitch" I begin. "You know that I like to do things the proper way. That's why I would love to take you on a date. We're going to stay in a hotel in Chicago tomorrow and have the whole day and night off. So I thought that I'll book us a table in a nice restaurant and we have dinner? Will you go out with me?"

"Dinner date? How traditional! I like it." He simply states.

"Is this a 'yes' or a 'no'?" I want to know. "I need some help, here."

Mitch giggles and it is the most beautiful sound I've heard in a long time. "Of course it's a 'yes', Avi! Why wouldn't I want to go out with you?" He then says. "Did you really think I'd say something else?"

I sigh. "You know, I'm new to all this and, well, it's been a while since I asked someone out." I shrug my shoulders and bite my lip, suddenly feeling a little bit shy.

"Hey, you did great. You always find the right words, no matter what you say" he compliments me. "And now, come, I want to cuddle up with you before we climb step four tomorrow! We've got time as long as Kevin's still playing."

I directly put an arm around him and pull him closer to my side. "Like that?"

"Mmhm... just like that." I feel him relaxing completely, his body literally melts into mine. I'm in awe when I notice how familiar this already feels.

"Are you tired, Mitch?" I ask him. "You seemed to be a little bit off when we were in the city."

He nods. "Yeah. I just need a few days to get used to tour life and sleeping on the bus."  He mumbles. "Can I sleep? It's comfortable."

"Be my guest" I return and press a soft peck on his head. "Good night, angel."

"Thank you, Avi" he mumbles once more before I literally feel him drifting off.

I'm not that tired, but I enjoy watching Mitch sleep. He looks so calm and radiates sheer beauty as he's lying there with his head against my chest.

A while later, Scott comes into the lounge, smiling when he sees Mitch and me. He sits down next to me. "He was dead tired" he whispers.

I nod slightly. "He was. Fell asleep almost instantly" I whisper back.

Scott smiles and seems to be thinking about something.

"How are you feeling right now?" He then asks out of the blue.

I look at him. "What do you mean?" I return. We are both still whispering to not wake Mitch up.

"I mean it the way I said it, Avi. How do you feel right now in this situation?"

"I..." I start and think about it for a moment. "I feel good. Really good. His presence is calming. Oh and we're going out tomorrow."

Scott smiles at me. "Really? You asked him? That's great. What are you doing?"

"Dinner. I have to find a place to go to and maybe we can take a walk and find something else to do. But in the end it's all about spending time with him" I return. I look down at Mitch who is still sleeping soundly.

"He won't wake up just from us talking, Avi. He usually sleeps like a baby" Scott explains to me.
"But maybe you should wake him up. We're going to stop for some dinner and a nap for Genevieve soon and then drive nonstop all the way to Chicago and hopefully arrive there at like seven in the morning."
