quick A/N: I was listening to the song I attached while reading this and I just wanted to share it, because it is perfect.
Mitch's POV
Avi's romance knows no bounds, I am truly glowing after last night. Naturally, I have to tell Scott all about it, so I arranged a coffee date the next day with him. The goal is to find the fancy French equivalent of Starbucks. Knowing us though, we'll give up after 5 minutes and pick the first place we see.
My outfit for the day is simple, yet elegant. I kind of view French fashion as such, so I'm trying to replicate it as best I can. One of the worst feelings when you travel the world is being gawked at because you're obviously a foreigner. I'm trying to avoid that. My shirt is long and wide, hiding my small figure. My pants are tight and dark, accentuating my legs. Simple, yet believably high fashion, I love it. Oh and I'm wearing my heel boots, duh.
As Scott joins me on the street, we take an aimless stroll to the first place that catches our eye. That happened to be a French boy's ass, so we decided to avert our eyes and select a café instead.
I didn't even bother with the name, because I'm an all American English speaker who really couldn't trouble herself.
We walk in and order two extremely standard coffees, mainly because we didn't want to butcher the names of any of the fancy ones.
"We should sit outside, it's actually a nice day." Scott suggests, to which I nod and follow him out the door.
"France is so beautiful." I state outright.
"So is that guy across the street. Damn." My best friend replies, once again displaying his unrelenting thirst. He ain't misbehaving though.
"Can't argue with that!" I quip, but I feel a little guilty looking at other guys when I'm definitely committed to Avi at this point.
"So how have you been? Everything has been so busy we haven't even gotten a chance to chat."
"I've been great, actually. Avi took me on a gorgeous date last night."
"I heard. He's such a great boyfriend, step it up Alex." Scott joked, and I immediately smirked.
"He's definitely a keeper" I add, followed by another violently involuntary smirk.
I make a grand gesture with my hand to check my watch, and Scott's face scrunches up as if he was just blinded.
"Something in your sleeve just flashed me, what was that?" He prodded, and I couldn't tell if he had finally seen through my facade.
"Look closer" I wink with my reply, daintily flicking my wrist in Scott's direction.
To say his gasp was loud would be an understatement.
"OH MY GOD! YOU'RE ENGAGED? WHEN? HOW? WHAAAAAAT?"
I'm laughing now, his reaction was priceless. "Well, it happened on our amazing date last night. I remember it like it was just a few moments ago, that's how much it meant to me."
"Go on..." Scott eagerly spoke.
"We were on a little cruise ship, he took me there after dinner. I had no idea it was coming, so I was completely on cloud nine when it happened. His speech was the cutest thing ever."
"I'm so ready to hear it! And I know you have it memorized because you're you."
"I have it written down, actually. Avi had to read it because he was getting emotional and forgetting. He swore he had it mem-"
