Avi's P.O.V.

After having breakfast with Esther we need to be back on the bus to travel to the next stop Kansas City. It's expected that we arrive late at night and stay at a hotel before it would be back to business tomorrow.

Mitch and I end up cuddling on 'our' sofa in the back lounge of the bus asking each other questions back and forth. We do this for hours, until it's time to stop for dinner before the last two hours of the ride.

"Wait, Mitch, I've got one last question before we end our little game" I say after Scott had knocked to tell us that we'd be arriving at the restaurant, soon.

"Ask away" Mitch says with a bright smile on his face.

"Will you sleep with me tonight?" I know that I totally mispronounced my question the second the words are out of my mouth and I notice the all too familiar smirk on Mitch's face.

"Well, that's a direct way to ask, Babe, but I'm not objecting at all if that's what you really meant?" He wanted to know, still wearing the grin on his face.

I chuckle literally, partly to conceal my nervousness. "That's not exactly what I meant, Mitchie. I just wanted to know if you'd like to sleep with me as in sharing a bed. Just like we did before" I say defensively. Of course I have thought about it. Especially after showering with him the other day. Yet, I'm not sure. I mean I am sure that I want to go further than touching when the time comes. But I'm nervous. Mitch is so... experienced and I don't know stuff. I know the mechanics and everything but right now it seems to be such a big thing such a huge step.

"What are you thinking, Daddy?" Mitch asks me after a while. He must've noticed that I was lost deep in my own world.

"I... um, it's nothing" I return, hoping that Mitch would just drop the topic for now. The fact that the bus is just pulling into a parking lot is welcomed distraction. "Oh look, we've stopped. I hope this place has good food."

Mitch eyes me suspiciously, but apparently decides to drop the topic for now. "Yeah, me too. Hopefully something not too greasy."

The place turns out to be quite nice. To Mitch's delight they're offering a fair share of healthy dishes as well as something for me as in chicken wings and potato wedges.

"Can you get a bigger portion of the wedges, Daddy? I might want to try them and if I like them, I'll want some. Please?" Mitch says into my ear just as we're about to order.

I chuckle, he's being so sweet that I can't really say no, so I ask the waiter to double up the portion, so that my Mitchie would be able to have his wedges with the tofu and couscous dish he's having.

While we're eating we stick to lighter dinner conversation. I personally am distracted by Mitch stealing the wedges from my plate one by one. They really are good. In fact everything is good. It's nothing I'd come back for but it's some solid food.

After dinner and a coffee we decide to get back on the road and to our hotel as soon as possible. It's only another hour and a half since there's almost no traffic anymore.

When we exit the restaurant, I take Mitch's hand almost automatically. It just feels so good to be holding on to him. And even though we're not out officially I don't care holding his hand in public, because it isn't likely that we'd meet fans out here.

Or so I thought.

"Oh my god, are they..."

"Really? Are you sure?"

I let go of Mitch's hand as soon as I hear the voices and a small group of three girls come over to us. I hope that they didn't recognise it, but thankfully they're too busy fangirling. And Kirstie, being the sweet cupcake she always is smiles at them brightly.
