Quick A/N: if you haven't read 5. A Kind Gesture, yet, head back and do so. There was a glitch on wattpad and I'm not sure you've all got the notification ;)
Avi's P.O.V.
Well that was something else. You won't believe how much fun I had trolling the stupid guy. Both our acting skills were put to test and what to say, we did great. Originally I had other things in mind for our coffee date, like some deep talking or else. Yet I liked going out anyway. Plus the look on this guy's face as he saw me being that intimate with Mitch, one day after he completely failed at the date was priceless.
But I feel like I made Mitch feel uncomfortable, when I grabbed his hand for the exaggerated kiss. He, however, didn't say anything about it, he just played along. I make a mental note to try and talk to him about it after rehearsal tonight, since I didn't have a chance to do so before we parted after our coffee date.
Although I had hoped that our little get together would go differently, maybe with some more talking about deeper stuff, like we did the other day. Yet, I had a great time and was actually a little bit sad when Mitch announced that he had to leave to do some stuff at home before rehearsal. I was hoping to spend some more time with him, perhaps even through until we had to leave for the studio.
But he sounded urgent and I didn't want to object. I would sound pretty needy after all, which I wasn't, I could spend some time alone.
Actually I called Esther and made plans to meet up with her at the studio. I would help her with some organisational work she had yet to do for the upcoming tour and then we'd go out to grab some late lunch.
Work was only a ton of emails that had to be sent and a couple of calls that had to be made. We got right to it to get it done as quickly as possible.
"Thank you, Avi. This stuff would have taken ages without you. Lunch is on me, just tell me where you want to go" Esther says once we're finished and turns off her laptop.
"You don't need to. I was kind of bored, anyway" I argue.
"Bored? Happens a lot lately, doesn't it?" Esther eyes me suspiciously.
I shrug my shoulders. "Well, I probably can't wait to go on tour again."
One look at Esther and I know instantly that she didn't buy it. Instead she keeps her gaze focused on me in a way only a big sister can. She's looking right through me. "Do you want to talk about it?"
"Esther, it's nothing. I've been on my own for the bigger part of the last few days and just couldn't wait to socialise. You know me, Sister, I need someone around me" I explain to her.
She smiles. "Someone as in a girlfriend?"
I roll my eyes. "No. Not at all. Just someone in general. I hung out with Mitch both yesterday and today and it was great. And I'm having quite a good time with you, as well."
This time Esther seems to believe me. She smiles at me warmly. "I always forget how much you need people around you."
"I know, I know. I'm a social dragon" I return with a chuckle.
"Social dragon? What is that?"
"Mitch and I coined this expression. Like a social butterfly, yet I'm more of a dragon" I describe, making her laugh.
"What would you be without dragons" she concludes. "Anyway... food? Otherwise we have to hurry to be back on time for rehearsal."

After a nice afternoon lunch, Esther and I hurry back to the studio. Of course we kept talking so much that we lost track of the time. Kevin, Kirstie and Scott are already waiting, Mitch arrives just as we've finished hugging each other.
"Mitchie" I say, probably a little bit too happy and make my way over to him, leaning in for a hug.
He giggles. "You're acting as if we haven't seen each other for months, Daddy" Mitch comments but pulls me into a hug either way. "Missed me?" He whispers into my ear and I can hear in his voice that he's smirking.
"Always, Mitchie, always" I simply return and then let go of him. When I look around I see that they're all staring at us. Especially Kirstie is glaring at us before she and Mitch exchange a look. I notice it but don't know what to make of it.
And actually I don't have any time to think about it because we start rehearsing right away. There is a lot of work we need to get done and tour is only a wee moment away.
We go through the set-list until it's almost midnight. There was so much that needed to be done and this was the last possibility before our tour would actually start in a couple of days. We're all exhausted and ready to head home, still nobody complains. It's our job, after all and we need to be at our best for the tour.
After we're finished for the night, we pack up our stuff and make our way outside the building. We say goodbye to each other, but I hug everyone else except Mitch and wait until they've made their way over to their cars. Mitch is still typing something on his phone and something tells me he's waiting for us to be alone? Could be a false guess, though.
"So, Daddy, you obviously want to talk to me?" He starts after putting his phone back into his bag.
I raise my eyebrows. "How do you know?"
"Well, it was a little bit obvious that you didn't say goodbye to me first although we were standing next to each other" he returns and shrugs his shoulders. "You know how I keep an eye on the smallest details."
"I know, I know" I begin and then falter. What am I going to tell him? I just can't just ask him to go out with me that would sound like proposing a date night. Which I'm not! I don't want him to think anything wrong.
"Earth to Avi? You wanted to talk to me and it's getting late. Mommy wants to go to bed sometime soon" Mitch sasses, getting me out of my deep thoughts.
I feel a slight blush creeping up my cheeks and hope that my beard will conceal it. "Mitch, I was just wondering if you'd like to meet up again before tour. I mean the others are probably going to spend every waking hour with their significant other's which would leave us two singles."
I see Mitch's eyes light up at my proposal. "Yeah, why not?" His voice, however doesn't really show the amount of excitement his eyes do. "I've got plans tomorrow but we could do like coffee the day after?"
"Actually, Mitch, I was kind of hoping to do something fun. Just some freetime, maybe some shopping or a movie or maybe something else. Think about it."
"Okay... you know I'm all about hitting the shops" Mitch muses. "But I'd rather have a quiet one the day before touring madness starts."
"Well, okay... but what does that actually mean. Just coffee?" I am quite dumbfounded, because he is literally talking in codes.
"No, silly. I'd like to hang out with you but to do something rather quiet" he returns with a big grin which turns into a yawn soon after. "I'll text you and we'll figure something out?"
"Yeah, why not." I smile at him and then lean in for the customary hug. "Get home safely, Mitch!"
"You too, Daddy" he returns and then our ways part, each of us going to their respective car.
So, I'll have a day alone tomorrow but that isn't too bad since I need to get a few things for tour. But the more important thing is that I've actually got something to look forward to. I'm doing something fun with Mitch the day after tomorrow. And I couldn't be happier!

A/N: I'm, again, sorry for the mess with chapter 5. There was a weird glitch happening on wattpad which temporarily didn't show any updates.
But it's all solved now and we can go back to the joy of writing and reading! From now on updates may actually be slowing down. We both were rather productive over the weekend but will be busier from now on ;)
But we still make time for Mitch and Avi ;)!
