Clary ran to the Great Warlock of Brooklyn's house. Well, she took a taxi from the institute. On the ride over she kept her hood over her head, covering most of her face and leaving the shadows to cover the rest.
Magnus answered the door with sparkles in his hair, purple eyeliner, and the most sparkly outfit ever. "Um, hello?"
Clary kept her hood down. "I need shelter."
He looked at her through a locked doorway.
"I'm not letting you in until you show me yourself." Magnus said, crossing his arms.
Clary looked down. Would Magnus let her in if he knew who she was. She doubted it. But what other choice did she have? She pulled her hood down.
"Clary?" Disbelief registered on his face.
"Let me explain-" She rushed to say but didn't have time. Because he swung the door shut.
She turned away and grabbed her growling stomach. How did her life get to this point.
"Where are you going?" Magnus called out.
Clary realized that Magnus had shut the door so that he could unlock it. Clary smiled brightly.
"Thank you!" She cried out.

"So let me get this straight, " Magnus said. "The Institute burned down and you have no idea where Jace, your son, or any other of the Institute's residents are?"
"Yes, that is correct. And I couldn't think of anywhere else to go." Clary said, gripping her cup of warm tea tightly.
"So you are in seek of shelter? And a life for yourself and your unborn child?" Magnus asked.
"Yes that is correct. I don't want to hide the shadow world from my baby, but I don't want her part of it either."
"Well, I've got great news for you," Magnus said. "You can move in here. I'll get you clothes and a nursery, and food. I was looking to sell the house because I'm moving in with Wooseley, but I must warn you, you may get unexpected guests every now and then unless you secure the portal."
"Magnus...." Clary was speechless. "I can't bel-"
"Save it, I didn't want to give it away to someone who I didn't know, but I know and trust you. So, its all yours."
"Magnus... You are magnificent." Clary said.
She couldn't thank him enough.
