*3* Makeover

Magnus Bane was always a sight to see. And the time that Cara saw him was no exception.

But lets not get ahead of ourselves. Lets go back to were Cara had just revived the call from her mom, and she ran home wildly.

"SIMON! SIMON! OPEN UP! PLEASE SIMON!" Cara screamed.

The door opened up instantly by Simon.

"My mom has gone missing!" she screamed frantically.

"Haha real funny," Simon said.

"I'm not kidding! She told me to tell you it was her brother!"

Simon froze. Slowly he did the inevitable. He turned around.

No. This isn't happening, he told himself.

"She said to find Magnus Bane..." Cara continued.

"She told me to change me appearance. And to contact the Clave...?"

"Yes come on I have some makeup You may wear it," Simon said.

"Why do you have makeup?"

"Your mom was afraid of this. So I guess we'll see how it turns out," Simon said.

Twenty minutes later, Cara stood in front of a mirror. Her naturally red hair had been pulled back into a tight ponytail, she was wearing makeup, and a short black dress.

"Is this nesacary?" Cara asked, trying but failing at tugging down her dress.

"Yes," Simon said simply.

"Now, whoever is at the Institute, we will take with us. Just believe me." Simon said wisely.

"And Dorian?"

"It's probably best he go home," Simon said.

"No," Dorian said. He just walked into the upstairs room Cara slept in when she was there.

Simon barely glanced at him.

"And lastly, my name." Cara said.

"Well, what name would you like?" Simon asked.

"I don't know, I'll think of one before I get to the institute." She said.

As they drove in the car, Cara thought of names.

Dorian thought of Cara.

And Simon thought of Dorian. The young downworlder in love with a Fairchild.
