Nothing.
That is what Jace found.
Nothing.
It was a good sign and a bad sign. So Clary hadn't been burned, but that left a rising question. Where was she?
As long as she was safe...
She was probably with Isabelle.
Jace picked up Stephen, who he found had just gotten scared and hid on the porch.
Suddenly he heard a whimper from behind the gates of the institute. Jace slowly edged forward, knife in hand.
He found.... Gabriel. And Ella's son Owen. And Alec's son Sebastian.
Jace swooped Gabriel and Owen up into his arms and ran to the closet restaurant he could find, with Stephen and Sebastian trailing behind him. It was some Chinese food place down the street. So he got two high chairs and put Owen in one, Gabriel in the other. Stephen sat in an adult chair. As did Sebastian.
Jace thought of a plan as he fed each of the boys.
He was sure that there was an institute some where remotely close to his location. So he decided that he would rest there, then he would travel through a portal to get to the only other place he could think of. The London Institute. The leader of the Institute would almost have to help him, for he was the last (besides Stephen) male Herondale.
