I JUST GOT LOCKED IN A DANCE PARTY!

So I got a dance party invitation by my girlfriend, Pearl, and I went there last night. The party was sort of like something you'd see in Club Penguin. There was a dance floor, an arcade room, the kissing room, everything. I was just standing in the middle of the kissing room waiting for Pearl to arrive. After about 30 minutes, she finally came to me.

"Hey, Emerald." She said.

"Hey, Pearl." I responded.

"Why are you just sitting there in the middle of the kissing room?"

"Waiting for you."

"Oh... you."

We then went on to the dance floor. We had such a fun time, until I decided to take a break that is! I took a break from dancing for a little bit and grabbed something to drink. It was at that moment that I remembered from camping, weird things happen wherever I am. Sure enough, a trap door opened up below my feet, and I went falling, and falling, and falling. It seemed like I was going to fall to my death when a trampoline just sitting at the bottom saved my life. I bounced back up out of the trap door and the entire dance party was nothing but darkness. I assumed it was closed because the only sounds that were there were the sound of an owl, and me. "Hello?" I sort of shouted with an echo. "Anybody home?" It was then that I saw a sign that said, "Open" on the opposite side of the grand door. The place was closed. I guess I must've fallen so fast that I went to the future. I didn't know what to do next. I even tried going back down the trap door again and when I got back up, it was even darker than before! I'm guessing if I go down the trap again, it will get even darker. The only light where I am was coming from the moon outside. I tried going through the trap over and over until I couldn't see anything at all. I started giving up, but I then just remembered that this party had a gift shop, and one of the things in there was a flashlight in case we wanted a light party or something. I tried looking for it in the dark, but since my looking and hearing senses are not going to work, it's pretty much up to my touch to figure out where I am. "Ouch! Oof! What's this gift shop full of, thorns?" I found what I assumed was a flashlight, turned it on, and found out the gift shop contained nothing else except a wet floor sign. I guess I was just slipping over and over again. Silly me. I used the flashlight to guide me around and even found the trap door. I knew that if I went in there, God knows what will happen. I went in there anyway, however, instead of letting nature take its course, I put my hands and feet on the wall and I started sliding down slower and slower until I eventually came to a full stop right above that dang trampoline. There was a switch behind it, and it was set on, "full darkness".

I set it back to normal and bounced back out of the trap door. It went just as I thought: Everyone who was there earlier kept dancing... except for Pearl, that is. She was just standing there with an angry look on her face. "Emerald! I thought you said you were going to take a little break and drink some water. 30 minutes later and you still were taking a break! 30 minutes!!" she said angrily.

"Now Pearl, I can explain."

"You don't have to. I know you never wanted to dance. You could've just said so."

"Uh- Pearl, that's not what I-"

Pearl ran away sobbing. Great, just great. Pearl thinks I'm a big jerk and she's heading towards the grand door all in tears. Since then, our friendship has been demoted from "boyfriend and girlfriend" to "just friends" and, to be honest, I think that's what we probably should've just been in the first place.
