Pearl and I are friends, and we'll always be friends. We even live a couple of houses away from each other, so we can easily visit one another. However, there was always a creepy looking house that's between my house and Pearl's house. Needless to say, it freaked us out every time we saw it. The strange thing is that I was watching some television the other day, and suddenly our wall was broken down by... nothing. Believe it or not, there was nothing there. I then thought that maybe someone planted a bomb, but no, it gets weirder! There was a house across the street that seemed a little out of place, and little did I expect the house was going to practically EAT me. Its door swung open, and out came a fast moving carpet headed in my direction. Believe me, I would've ran and hid somewhere, but that carpet was lightning fast! So fast, when it caught me, it kind of stung.
The carpet then dragged me inside to whence it came from. Oddly though, the carpet was doing this EXTREMELY slowly. However, this gave me the perfect opportunity to try and escape the carpet's grasp. No matter how hard I tried, though, the carpet never let go. I did try grabbing on to a table or something, and the carpet DID slow down, but it just kept on going. There was nothing I could do about it. I guess the carpet thought (and yes, at this point, I thought the carpet could think) that too, because before I knew it, the carpet went lightning fast again and threw me inside that creepy house!
There was darkness... everywhere... I couldn't see. I thought I'd never find my way out of wherever I was until suddenly...
BONK! "Ouch! What the-?"
Something landed on my head. Confused, I searched around whatever I was on to find it. Let me just say that that was NOT fun. It felt all slimy and gross. After what seemed like hours, I found it. It felt like some sort of flashlight. How convenient. I flicked the switch and a beam of light suddenly appeared. I found myself in what looks like someone's guts (it sounds gross, but that's the best way I can describe it) and it was so gross, that if you were in there... well... maybe it's best not to think about it.
Anyway, I searched around seeing if I can find a passageway or something. Eventually, I found it, and I was disappointed when I saw what it looked like. It was pretty small, and I thought I had to get myself covered in the icky slime in order to fit in there. As hard as it was to do, I took a deep breath and went for it.
There really wasn't interesting to say during that slime swim. I closed my eyes and held my breath. What else was there? I kept on swimming until I felt myself no longer swimming. I then opened my eyes and found myself in a linear cave. "Nowhere else to go but forward." I thought to myself. It continued for a while until eventually, I found an opening. What was through the opening? Well... it was an attic. With a door. "How long is this going to go on?" I thought to myself. After going through what felt like 100 rooms, I was greeted by the main room. There were about a bajillion doors everywhere, each of which having some sort of label above them. I went to the door labeled "Emerald" and opened it, hoping that it would take me to our house. Unfortunately, there was a mine field full of emeralds inside. I closed the door and started searching some more. I found another door that was labeled, "Room" and opened it. I should've expected what was going to be inside with a label like, "Room" because all it is was empty space. I sighed, closed the door, and again started searching.
What happened next was sort of pandemonium. I started to panic at this point. In fact, the only thing that was keeping me sane was the "sane" room. I'm not kidding. I went through pretty much every single door. There was a "zoo" door and an "ice cream" door and... well... there was pretty much a door for everything. Even the most ridiculous things you can imagine. (I stumbled across a Rollercoaster Tycoon door) I then found out that you can take a letter off of a label, combine them with other labels, and have COMPLETELY different rooms. I took "Emerald" and "Room" and mixed the 2 labels together. I had high hopes at this point, and when I opened the door... there was another emerald mine field. I then read the label again and face palmed as I realized I needed an S. So, I grabbed an S off of a label and stuck it right next to "Emerald". I opened the door, hoping that it wasn't another mine field, and found... my room.
I was home free, but I was still a little weirded out by this whole thing. It's not like my other adventures where usually it'd be something bad or dangerous happening, this time, it felt like I was in a fun house.
