Danah's POV:
I remember the day I first met him like it was yesterday. I was sitting with my only friends Melissa, Julia, and Eraj when he came. His name was Oscar and he had the 2nd most majestic hair that I've ever seen! I guess you could call it love at first sight. And the best part, he sat right next to me!We've never talked much before, so seeing him was amazing. I guess you could call it "love at first sight." I must have been staring at him for too long because Melissa gave me a side glance and made me talk to him. I was so nervous! What should I say? What if I stutter? Does he think I'm weird? I've always been weird.
Finally, I got the guts to talk to him. I was too nervous to start a real conversation so I just went extremely close to his ear and whispered "I know you want me..." He gave a look that either said "I love you so much" or "What the heck did you do to my ear" but I don't really see a difference.
We sat next to each other for weeks, I guess you could say we were technically dating. The day that he asked me out was like no other; he said to me," What is your name? You're such a weirdo and I want to report you to the principal." Obviously, I knew that he was just too shy to say it, so I wanted to keep this little game going. "My name is Fernanda!" I said excitedly. I knew this was the start of a beautiful relationship.
I guess he felt the same (or the exact opposite, I still can't tell) because he looked at me with the face that said so much that you could write a book, so I am. That day forward, Oscar and I sat next to each other in the forever crowded place called the cafeteria. My life just got a whole lot better!
