Btw, it's the last day of school in the beginning of this chapter. 7th grade is ending for these fabulous folk and they're gonna start 8th grade. Just thought that I'd tell ya;)

Finally! Just this one day and I'll finally be able to sleep in. What should I wear? Something fancy? Nah. Something outgoing? Nope. Something like I have been for the whole year? Sure. Something comfy? Absolutely.

After I put on my t-shirt and sweatpants, I walked into the kitchen to get something to eat. Today we were just doing 2 exams then leaving early. I probably won't be able to see Julia or Melissa, unless I see them before or after school. Uuuugh, I hate exams.

Once I walked into school, I saw Melissa and Julia talking. I speed walked up to them and joined the conversation. They were talking about ideas for Julia's birthday party.

"Yeah, that is a good idea, but you know that I've had a pool party for 2 years in a row. I don't wanna make it 3. Any other ideas?" Said Julia as I walked up.

"What about a sleepover? Just invite a few people and we could play Left 4 Dead 2 on your Xbox and eat pizza until we pass out." I offered when she and Melissa ran out of ideas. Melissa poked my head with a curious face.

"What?" I questioned when she poked me again, but this time on my side. "I'm just trying to figure out what you are. Are you really Danah? That's one of the smartest things you've said in a while." She replied. How rude. I thought. Doesn't she know that I think more during exam week?

Julia agreed with me and said that she would ask her mom. The bell rang and we started walking to our classroom.

I walked into my classroom and went straight to my seat. There were a few people surrounding me that I recognized, but I didn't know everyone. I took out my book and continued reading while the teacher stood in the hallway talking to the other teachers.

After about 2 minutes, she finally walked in the classroom and took attendance. No one was absent, which was strange since most people leave a week early to go on vacation. Something strange must be happening...

The exams went by like they normally do. They were boring and all I could think about was Julia, Melissa, and Oscar. Wait, what? I haven't talked to him since that time I yelled at him, I thought to myself. Something must really be going on.

Once we were finally done, I quickly gathered my things and tried to catch up with Melissa. Curse you, short legs. Why do I have to be so slow? This seems to be happening a lot recently.

After I couldn't find Melissa, I just decided to get in my bus and go home. It was 12:30 anyways, what's the problem with going home and taking a well-deserved nap while my mom and evil brother are out and about?

I sat on my bus and took out my phone. I unlocked it and started playing random games and junk like that until it was my stop. I quickly got off and walked to my house. Gosh, why is Texas so hot in the summer? I quietly said to myself as I unlocked my front door.

As soon as I walked into the house, I threw down my backpack and went to my room. Meh, I can get a snack or whatever later I thought as I flopped onto my bed. As I drifted off to sleep, I thought about Julia's party.

"DANAAAAAAAH!!!!" Uuuuugh, what lovely sounds to wake up to. "DANAH, ARE YOU HOOOME?!?!" I heard a familiar voice yell. After 1.5 seconds, I realized who it was and replied, "YEAH, I WAS JUST TAKING A NAP MOM." "OKAY, YOU CAN GO BACK TO SLEEP AND I'LL WAKE YOU UP LATER!" My mom replied.

After spending 2 minutes trying to fall asleep, I gave up and pulled out my phone. As soon as I turned on my screen, I freaked out a bit. It was 5:30pm and that means I slept for over an hour. The worst part, though, is that I had 32 messages from Melissa, 41 messages from Julia, and a total of 37 missed calls from both of them. Oh, and a notification from musical.ly, but who cares about that?

I quickly texted both of them and said "what's up? Did someone die or something?" I got and answer almost immediately from the pair of weirdos, each the same exact response. "Dude, Oscar just texted Melissa and asked about you!!!" I thought they were lying, but then they sent screenshots.

Oscar- hey, this is Melissa right
Melissa- yeah, what's up?
O- ur friends with Danah, am I correct?
M- yeah, why?
O- um, yeah. She said she was gonna "teach me a lesson." Do you know what she meant?
M- she did? If I were you, I'd be careful.

I couldn't read anymore text messages after that. OHMIGOD, OHMIGOD, OHMIGOD!! He remembered my name!! I knew he liked me! We're destined to be together! That's why it was feeling weird today, something like this was gonna happen and my future-seeing brain warned me in advance! I'm so smart!

I responded to them in a group chat:
Danah- OMG, when did this happen?!?! I'm freaking out!! Julia- When we first texted you. We tried to tell you earlier, but you wouldn't pick up the freakin' phone!
Melissa- She's right, it happened as soon as I got home!
D- Hey Julia, did you ask your mom about the party?
J- Oh, I completely forgot, ttyl.
M- Well, I'm gonna go too. Bai.
D- baiiiiiii!

After that, I decided to watch some YouTube until I got bored. I watched some people play a game called Yandere Simulator. It's about a girl at a school who tries to kill everyone at the school in a limited time so that they don't confess their love to her senpai. It looks like a really fun game, but it's not complete, so the youtubers were just playing the demo.

After I was done, I got up and went to the kitchen to grab a bag of Cheetos. What a great way to start off summer vacation! I laughed to myself as I walked back into my room and huddled under my covers and watched Netflix until I fell asleep. This summer might actually be interesting.
