A million thoughts ran through my mind. First things first was that I had to leave mom a note but what do you say to your crazy mother? I wrote down that I would be going out with some friends and that I'd be back when I could. The next thing was going outside to see not the Impala, disappointment rose in my chest but I suppose that if they were sent here they couldn't take the Impala - just like last time. Sam and Dean helped Cas get into the back of the car and I felt curious as to why Cas was like this... Then again I did just watch Metatron suck his grace out... A new round of questions broke through my head.
"Hey! You mind getting in the car so we can leave?" Dean barked. Snapping out of my daze I hopped in the back with Cas, who was covered in blood.
"He's not going to die right?" I asked worried about his well being. I had grown accustomed to my favorite characters dying but I wasn't used to being the cause of their death.
"I won't let that happen," Dean promised.
"I took a first aid class last semester so I can help in some way especially since he's human now," I muttered.
"That'd be great thanks Poppy," Sam acknowledged. I turned my sights on the unconscious Cas.
"What happened? To Cas, to Sam? The last thing I saw was that he had passed out because of the trials," I asked.
"Uh... well I got hurt pretty bad and Dean let an angel possess me but he didn't exactly interrogate him about why he wanted to and then didn't tell me about the angel inside me. Cas lost his grace and has all the angels after him so Dean kicked him out. Then he ended up taking other angels' grace in order to have a little bit more power. Dean took on the Mark of Cain then turned into a Demon because Metatron killed him. Cas and I cured the demon part but we're trying to get rid of the Mark because it's bad news and Cas still doesn't have his grace which is why this thing with Crowley is so serious," Sam explained. My mind could not have been anymore blown than it was in this moment in time. I just sat there staring at all three boys in awe with only more questions but I figured I didn't need to know anymore spoilers.
"Oh." I muttered, it was the only thing I could think to say.
I assumed we were getting closer to the warehouse because I didn't recognize anything about the part of town we were living. Everything seemed kind of run down and sketchy, which was right up their alley. Dean parked the car next to a tall metal building. Getting out of the car, I watched as Sam pulled the angel out of the car and gingerly took him inside the warehouse. The inside was no better than the outside, the walls all had some kind of graffiti on it and the cement floor had all kinds of alien stains on it but it was empty and secluded. Sam and Dean had put Cas in a hidden corner.
"Hey First Aid we need you over here! Sam get the kit we found out of the car," Dean ordered. Sam did what he was instructed. The main source of the blood came from his chest, I suspected he either was tortured or just not on his A-game. The amount of the blood that came out of his chest made me involuntarily gag, I prayed that Dean wouldn't notice but he did.
"What's the matter with you?" He asked.
"I'm not used to seeing that much blood in real life. I see it all the time on the show but that's fake," I answered shallowly.
"Well can you help him or not?" Dean asked, getting irritated. I imagined he was just really stressed out by the day's events I couldn't blame him.
"Yes I can," I answered, just then Sam returned with the First aid kit. The first thing was to clean it. Taking a deep breath I remembered and focused on the things that needed to happen. "I need water," I requested coolly. Sam held out a water bottle he brought from the car. Taking it from him I opened the bottle and began lightly pouring it on Cas's open chest. Once the excess blood cleared I moved on to the next step. Opening the first aid kit I pulled out antibiotic cream, there wasn't enough to treat the whole wound. My beloved Cas had deep cuts all around his chest and ribs. Taking a little bit I gingerly rubbed it into the deepest wounds, he flinched each time and I apologized quietly and continued working all the while praying that I didn't pass out or vomit. Finally, I got out the gauze and tape and dressed it the best I could.
