Back at the Warehouse
Dean's P.O.V
Now that Poppy was gone I didn't have to hold back. This demon had it easy until Cas took her away. Sneering at the demon I took the knife out of its arm and circled the chair.
"Now you're going to tell me and my brother exactly what we want to know because the only reason I haven't been unleashing everything I have on you is because of Poppy but she's not here anymore," I paused briefly, ignored Sam's worried expression and continued. "How did you get here? I'm guessing that Crowley sent you here to get Poppy which means he meant for you to come back." The demon trembled beneath my hard gaze. After too long of silence, I raised the dagger up to plunge it back into his flesh but a breathy plea stopped me.
"What's the point? Crowley used a spell, I don't know it but he's coming and he's going to be ruthless. Now that I've told you will you please kill me so Crowley doesn't?" The demon begged. We got our information so I didn't see a reason why I couldn't help him with a simple request like this one. Nodding, I buried the demon knife in its chest killing it.
"Well guess we better double check on all the other traps if Crowley's coming," I announced barely looking at Sam. I knew what he thought of me, he thinks I'm changing - that the mark is changing me somehow but it isn't. There's nothing wrong me - yet.
In the middle of fixing the traps and adding more Sam came over to me and I tensed at the thought that he wanted to talk about the mark or the demon I had just tortured and killed.
"You know I'm not a big fan of this alternate universe where people watch our lives for fun." Releasing a small breath of relief I nodded in agreement.
"Agreed and it's a miracle that there people like Poppy who manage to stay sane through all of that," I responded.
"No kidding but here it is just fake. I was listening to Poppy the other day when she was talking to Cas. She told him about how the show has actually helped her cope with her own troubles. Apparently she's got a weird relationship with her mom, it kind of reminds me of the one we had with dad. Poppy's mom wants her to follow in her footsteps but Poppy isn't into that sort of thing. She feels alone but for some reason whenever she watches the show - watches us she doesn't feel that way. It got me thinking that maybe what we do doesn't go unnoticed, it may feel like it does because for us it isn't a tv show but there are thousands of people who are cheering us on, who fight with us, who cry with us - for us." I stared at Sam with a disinterested look, he was getting all chick flicky but I took his words to heart. I now had a different perspective of Poppy.
"Okay dude enough with the chick flick let's get back to painting before Crowley gets here," I told him, changing topic.
"Crowley's already here," the deep rough annoying british accent alone made my skin crawl. Turning with Sam we saw Crowley standing in the middle of the room away from all the demon traps. I sighed, feeling defeated. "Hello boys," he greeted.
"Crowley," I snarled back. Sam and I would stay in our positions until Crowley made a move at us but he remained in his free zone. Crowley smirked and opened his arms to us but we stayed still.
"Now boys as I understand it, you have something - someone I need for my special project. I know you're hiding her somewhere and you're going to tell me where she is," Crowley demanded.
"Well I'd get used to disappointment Crowley because Cas took her and we don't know where she is," I answered with a glare. Crowley's sophisticated looked disappeared and was replaced with rage. He held out his hands towards us and motioned them upward.
