Wendy dragged me off the second Mr. Pines said our shift was over. She made me try on a blue flannel shirt and a hat. The hat reminded me of someone, but I can't put my finger on it. "Dude," Wendy said. "You look awesome. You should totally wear it." I guess I did look good, so I just wore it. "Hey, you should totally meet my friends. C'mon!" Again, she dragged me off. "Hey, dudes!" she yelled when we came outside. "Hey, does that boy, like, come from the city or something?" a girl asked. "Yep!" Mabel said. "His name is Danny."

"Hi," I said. I wasn't so fond of all the attention I was getting.

"I'm Tambrey, this is Robbie, that's Thomson, that's Nate and Lee," the girl, Tembrey, said. "You've already met Dipper and Mabel, I suppose." I nodded, and felt someone watching me. I looked and met Dipper and Robbie's eyes. They both turned their heads. I think they were glaring at me.

We all sat on the grass, me sitting a safe distance away from these people. My phone vibrated again and I looked at it. It was from Sam only. Danny, don't think we- me- forgot you were miserable. I miss you a lot and I hope your doing well. I really wanted to spend spring break with you... and Tucker. I wish I was with you now. Don't forget, we'll always be your best friends... I hope. I stared. I then heard Tambrey talking. "The Spring Solstice is going to happen tomorrow night. I think we should all go to the concert." I gave them a questioning glance. Wendy took Tambrey's phone and showed me. "Singers like Ember McLain, the Love God, Humpty Dumpty, and more are going to be there! You in, dude?" Wendy said. I sat silently.

Wendy held out her hand, saying, "Wanna come?" The other were in the background, chanting, "City boy! City boy! City boy! City booooy!" I stared at her hand, wondering. Then I realized the meaning of Sam's text. She didn't want me to replace them with these guys. My bad subconscious got to me first. Do it. Where are they when you need them? Its almost like they need you. Not care about you. Or was it my bad subconscious? Oh well. I listened to the voice stupidly. I grabbed Wendy's hand, and didn't look back.

I hope it wasn't a mistake.
