Jazz called to see if I was alright. I was better than alright, I was safe. Those twins weren't here to try to prove I was a ghost. I wanted to live with my uncle and cousin.

No. Mom, dad, and Jazz would be depressed. I couldn't do that to them.

So we made plans. We would leave Vlad's a week from now, tell our parents we were absolutely fine, and get on with our lives. Maybe I would even tell them about being Danny Phantom. And possibly get ripped apart molecule by molecule. That might be a no.

We were just finishing dinner when Vlad said he wanted to talk to me alone. So I went to his private study with him.

"What is it?" I said, almost demanding. Vlad sighed.

"You and Dani are slowly getting poisoned," he said sadly.

I was ready to scream. "What?! I'm... We're... What?!"

"It Gravity Falls. Dani visits there all the time to see Dipper and Mabel, her friends. And you, spending a few weeks there isn't safe. Of course, I did find a way to help you."

Vlad started digging around the room, looking. "Ah, here it is," he muttered, more to himself than me. "What?" I asked, watching him flip through the book. I hope it didn't include leaving my family. I really did hope not.

He only shoved a bottle in my hand and said, "Drink it, now." I shook my head. Why would I? He might be trying to kill me!

"Daniel, I'm telling you the truth. If you die, I would never live with myself nevertheless what you think. I may act like I want you dead, but I enjoy you. Your like the son I wish I had. Please, it'll help you with the poison," Vlad begged. I took one more look at the potion before reluctantly drinking it. I started to feel the strength I didn't realize I lost return.

"Are you feeling better?" my uncle asked. I nodded. "Yeah, thank you, uncle." I handed him the bottle and walked out of the room. I couldn't say anything else.
