It has been a week since Vlad wrote the letter. I hoped that they went back to Gravity Falls by now.

Me, Sam, and Tucker sat on the floor of my room, talking about what to do. "Should we leave?" Tucker asked. I glanced. I kinda liked the hospitality Vlad was giving us, but he'd probably stab us in the back once he gained our trust. But Vlad made no sign of doing so. He checked on us often, as if trying to make sure we were still here. Dani came to hang out with us often, too. Its almost like they enjoy our presence. Dani, I get it. Vlad, I don't. He doesn't like me...

Or does he? Did he start to grow a soft spot for me and my friends?

Naw, impossible. He hates me.

"Danny." Sam slapped me. "You okay? You seem... lost." I nodded. I was okay, but I was lost in thought.

"What do you think about Vlad's hospitality?" I asked. I was ready to go back and forth with anyone who was to say otherwise.

"I think its nice. I'd like to have a place to go when my family is ticking me off," Sam said. "Like you and Jazz. She annoys you and you just wanna leave to someplace where Jazz isn't."

.... True.

"Yeah, I agree with that," Tucker said. "Vlad seems to have changed and I'm sure he wouldn't try to hurt you anymore. Maybe you should live with it. They seem to like us here."

.... True, again.

"I think I'm gonna stay a little longer," I blurted. My mind and heart forced it outta my mouth before I could stop it. "I think both of you are right and I think I'm finally starting to trust Vlad. Maybe he only wants us here. After all, he's gotta a cat! He also is mostly alone because Dani probably worries about me so she probably stalks me most of the day. What do you think?"

"Can we stay too?" Tucker blurted. Sam nodded.

I hoped I was right about trusting Vlad.
