DAY FIVE

Soojae wakes up first which is quite surprising. She grabs a fresh pair of clothes and makes her way to the bathroom where she takes a quick steaming hot shower, she stays still and let's the soothing liquid pour over her head and down her body. She feels more awake.

She walks back into the girls' room and sees that Raehee is already half-awake, the quiet girl is sat up on the top bunk rubbing her sleepy eyes. Soojae doesn't say anything as she walks in, she simply nods at the girl to acknowledge her presence. Raehee looks away and stares out the window.

Rain falls fast creating continuous pitter patter sounds on the thick glass window, the world is gloomy and depressing, faded to a saddening grey, each dark cloud ready to burts into millions of tears. She feels like a cloud, filled with so many troubles while forcefully floating in the problematic air, just waiting for a chance to burst.

Raehee gets up and grabs her clothes, she takes a long shower--longer than Soojae. She thinks deeply, she tends to do this quite often. She lets her thoughts drown her as the water continues to pour effortlessly on her pale, skinny complexion. She steps out of the shower and dries her body before fitting into her regular baggy clothes. The steam from the hot shower creates a lasting sticky warmth that circulates thickly around the small room.

She quickly brushes her teeth and stares into the foggy mirror afterwards. She sighs and places both hands on either side of the sink. She looks at her pill bottle and sighs again. She hesitantly raises her shaky finger up to the reflective glass and begins to write.

You need to survive.

She stares at her scribbled work and let's out yet another sigh as she takes her pill--she takes one extra to try to sooth the sudden pain she feels. She watches patiently as the writing starts to disappear. For some odd reason, the more the writing disappears off of the glass the more the message seeps into her heart. It's like the writing is slowly being re-wrote inside her, leaving her with a strong message. She stares at herself in the mirror and then at the pill bottle. She could do it. She could really do it and no one would know. No one would care. If Mr. Jung trusted her with her entire bottle on her own for a week then he must have known that this would happen eventually.

She squeezes her eyes shut and shakes her head as the promise that she made to Jungkook fills her mind, I'll promise to smile if you do. She sighs for the final time and raises her fingers to her cheeks and lifts them up slightly creating a forced smile like Jungkook had done on her yesterday. The mere memory makes her smile unconciously. If he can smile, then so can she.

There are several knocks on the door, "hey, you okay in there? You've been in there for a half an hour," Soojae's unusual soft voice from the other side of the door makes her jump.

She grabs the pill bottle and rolls it up in her damp towel. She opens the door to see the worried girl. She shrugs, "I'm fine." The bitter words leave a tangy taste in her mouth. How easy it is to lie. How easy it is to put on a disguise. How easy. Why is it so easy?

Soojae shrugs and walks back to the living room as the quiet girl brushes past her and enters their bedroom. Soojae grabs an apple from the kitchen and walks to the couch and flicks on the TV, turning the volume down so she won't wake up anyone else. After all, it's not even 10:00am yet.

About twenty minutes later Taehyung wakes up, he rubs his eyes as he struggles to keep them open. He crawls out of bed and steps outside the boys' room and walks toward the kitchen where he grabs an apple and walks to the living room where he spots Soojae sitting in the middle of the couch also eating and apple.
