Chapter 4: Disaster

???: Master....Master Minako Arisato...

Minako finds herself entering an unknown door. Everything changes to white and all of the sudden, she is sitting on a chair in a huge elevator. The elevator is coloured in various shades of blue. Minato is there too, sitting on another chair next to her. There is a table in front of her and a man with a long nose is sitting behind it. He is looking at her. Beside him, there is a woman with white bowl-haircut hair and yellow eyes. She wears a blue dress with an interesting pattern, matching blue gloves and blue boots up to her knee.

There are also a few doors placed at the right and the left side of the room. Some are covered with blue cloth. A clock at the back of the room is ticking so quickly. She also realizes that the elevator is ascending because rays of light pierce the back wall, which is made out of iron bars, every 5 seconds or so. After inspecting the room, the man speaks.

Man: Welcome to the Velvet Room. My name is Igor. I am delighted to be made your acquaintance. This is Elizabeth. She is a resident here, like myself.

Elizabeth: Pleased to meet you.

Igor: This place exists between dream and reality, mind and matter.

The papers the twins signed suddenly appears on the table. Igor flips the papers and continues.

Igor: Only those who have signed the contract can enter this place. Henceforth, you shall be welcomed here in the Velvet Room. You are destined here to hone your unique ability, and you will require my help to do so. I only ask one thing in return...

Minato: ...that you abide by the contract, and assume full responsibility for the choices you make. 

Igor: You remembered...

Minato: *sigh* How can I forget the ONLY condition you made, yet I didn't abide by it. At first, I am puzzled when the boy told me to sign the contract but everything makes sense now.

Elizabeth: Minato-kun, you did not assume responsibility for the choices you made in the past. Therefore, you received a punishment and you have to renew your contract.

Minato: And he punishment is...?

Elizabeth: All of your personas except Orpheus are confiscated.

Minato: *sigh* All those days I spent just to make them... are wasted...

Minako: Brother...You've been here before? What is this all about?

Igor: Don't you understand what I just told you?

Minako: I do but...

Minato: For now, that's all you need to know. Trust me.

Minako: Brother... Alright, I trust you!

Igor: Then, hold on to this... 

A key appears in Minako's and Minato's hand.

Minato: Finally, I have my Velvet Key back.

Igor: There is still one more resident of this room, who unfortunately could not be present for your arrival. But I'll make sure you three are properly introduced. Another time, perhaps. 'Till we meet again.

Thursday, 9th of April

Minako feels like she had a strange dream. However, it's time to go to school.

Minako: I just have to trust brother...

At school -After school-

Minato and Minako didn't return to the dorm together today. Minato goes home with Junpei while Minako goes home with Yukari.
