Chapter 9

"Sophie, your surprise baby." Lerman finished, laying the pink sleeping bundle in Lilli's arms. Lilli starred at her soaking in every detail. She had a dark, litle mop of hair hidden under her hat. Sophie was sleeping, but the doctor's said she has Lerman's eyes. Lilli looked up, "Zander?" Lerman gave her the other baby. He had almost no hair, but it was dark brown like Sophie's. 

Zander has light blue eyes. She looked back and forth. Sophie. Alexander. Soph, Zander. Her kids. She couldn't believe how beautiful they were, Lilli wasn't supposed to like them, these twerps were ruining her future. But somehow she couldn't help but loving them. 

They were hers. Lilli starred at the sleeping newborns. Just holding them close to her gave her a new perspective. She would die for them. Lilli absolutely loved them.

"WAAAIA!" came from a room down the hall. 

"BEEP BEEP BEEP!!!" Lilli grabbed the now warm bottle out of the microwave. She dashed down the hall. 

"WAAAIA!" Lilli sighed. "I'm coming, I'm coming." She mumbled. 

She entered the nursery/surfing heaven, and gave Zander a bottle. He immediately stopped crying and began sucking happily on it. Lilli smiled, then went and sat on the ground besides Sophie. 

She was laying contently, swinging back and forth slowly, in a polka-dotted baby swing. She was starring independently at the T.V. Lilli glanced at it and rolled her eyes. Lerman was on the screen, smiling and waving. 

Replays of the past night, Lerman was dancing and drinking and having a blast. A tear slid down Lilli's cheek. Lerman was out having a ball, on his world tour to promote his new movie. While Lilli was stuck home with twin brand new babies. Life sucks. 

"DING DONG!" Lilli sighed and went downstairs to answer the door. "Hi," She said as she opened the door. Lilli gasped "Don't look like that!" Jessie Riely protested as she strode into the house. She spun around on her 5"in heels. "Where are the kids?"

Lilli raised her eyebrows. "Upstairs, but are you sure you want to walk up there in those?" Lilli asked gesturing to her shoes. 

Jessie gave her and 'are you kidding me' look and jogged upstairs. Lilli followed. 

Jessie leaned over the crib and picked up Zander. "He doesn"t look like Logan, does he?" Jessie asked quizzically. 

"No," Lilli admitted. "But Sophie does." 

Jessie handed Lilli, Zander. She walked over to Sophie and saw the T.V. She clucked her tongue in fake agitation. "Looks like the day before." Lilli looked over her shoulder. 

"What do you know arbout the other day? With Lerman I mean."

Jessie chuckled. "More then you do. And that you aren't his only dream-girl."
