Chapter 23

Lilli was laying, sprawled out across her own body. "Well this is awkward." Lilli mumbled. She sat up and smacked her body's face repeatedly. Lilli's head rolled to the side. Lerman flew up and out of his chair. "Lilli?" he gaped. 

"Awww shit!" Lilli said. Lerman leaned down and kissed her lifeless body's lips. "Oh, no no no this is not happening!" Lilli exhaled and time just seemed to freeze. 

Lilli could tell this was working. She was giving up her spirit. Suddenly, Lilli was blind. She couldn't hear anything except a piercing scream. Suddenly there was bright light and a fiery pain. Then everything went black.

Lilli's eyes fluttered open, and saw Lerman's face hovering over her's. "Haha!" Lerman yelled. "I knew you wern't dead!" Lilli sat up and felt her arms and legs, just to make sure she wasn't a ghost. 

"I-I guess I'm not,"

'DING-DONG' Lilli jumped off the couch and ran to the door. A mail boy was standing there holding a letter. "For Lilli," he said. 

"That's me, thank-out." Lilli said taking the letter and closing the door. She ripped it open.

I hope you realized that this isn't over. Your children wern't as lucky.

Lilli dropped the letter. "Lerman! Lerman, get down here!"

Fabian collapsed on the ground. Zander was sleeping on a small pile of leaves, he had finally fallen asleep. "This is hard. I only wish I could have saved Sophie too." Fabina thought to himself. 

But he knew better: It was hard enough taking care of one kid, there was no way he could take care of two. And he wasn't a parent, he had no idea what he was doing! He had to help Zander hold on to a piece of apple. But Zander just starred at him like he was a physic-path.

And to top it off, he chucked it at Fabian's face. Fabian sighed and curled into a protective ball around Zander. Zander shifted in his sleep and snuggled close to Fabian. He smiled and fell asleep.

"Someone find a pacifier!" he roared in the are house. Jessie was running around frantically, collecting blankets and toys, and any other things Sophie wanted. 

Jessie collapsed in a heap. "Sir, she's never been apart from her brother. Nothing is going to work." 

Damen eyes's bulged from anger and exhaustion. "Find me that baby boy!"
