"The red one or the... Other red one?" I asked holding up two dresses to my newborn son. Don't ask. He did nothing but play with the stuffed elephant in his lap. "This is useless!" I groaned setting the two down.

"I say the red one with the lace with these lace tights and black flats." I heard behind me. Charlotte stood there, pink skinny jeans on and a white sweater. She held black lace tights and black flats.

"Uh... Thanks?" I asked and she nodded putting the stuff down. She nodded and left. Okay then... I got changed did my makeup and looked in the mirror

I smiled at my reflection and heard the doorbell go off

I smiled at my reflection and heard the doorbell go off. I grabbed my phone, bag, and Elijah before heading downstairs. I grabbed my jacket off of the railing and Elijah was taken from my hands.

"Go. I've got him." Dad said pushing me a bit. I tripped a bit and looked at him, sticking my tongue out and he shook his head.

Finally I stood in front of Alex, who might I say looked very hot. He smiled at me and I shut the front door before he grabbed my hand lightly and laced our fingers together.

"You look beautiful." He said as we walked down to his car.

"And you look handsome." I said and kissed his cheek. We got in the car and I looked at him.

"What are we doing tonight?" I asked and he smiled.

"It's a surprise." He said and I pouted. "You'll find out soon enough." He said and I smiled.
_____

We pulled up to a fancy restaurant downtown called Latour. It was, I'm guessing, a French restaurant. Alex checked us in with our reservation and we sat in a corner table in the back. Everything was lite dimly and people were talking quietly. Nobody was loud and it was really romantic.

"What are you gonna get, birthday girl?" He asked and I giggled when he called me that.

"The lamb sounds good." I said and he nodded his eyes trailing across the menu he held.

Soon after we left the restaurant we went to a nearby park, which might I say was huge, and took a walk around the lake. We stopped at the perfect point where the moon reflected off the lake giving enough light so I could see Alex.

"I have something for you." He said taking a small box out of his pocket. He placed it in my hand and I opened it to reveal a knotted ring with a Garnet stone in the middle.

"It's a knot ring. And it symbolizes a knot that is not quiet, but has all intentions of being tied. It's a promise ring." He whispered and I looked him in the eyes.

"It's beautiful." I said wrapping my arms around his neck. "I love you."

"I love you too."
______

I walked in the house at 1:30 in the morning trying not to make any noise at all. "And where have you been?" I heard behind me. Shit.

"Uh... So about that." I said laughing nervously.

"You said you'd be back at 11. McKenna we trusted you. Where were you?" Das asked and I sighed.

"We went on a walk around the park, and dinner lasted until 9:30 because restaurants just do that and- yeah." I said nervously.

"Just... Go upstairs and get some rest. Goodnight." He said hugging me and kissing my head.

"G'night." I said and went upstairs. "Love you dad."
