Today was they day of the court hearing. It was 9:30, 15 minutes before we had to leave. I paced the room barefoot while Alex went to drop Elijah off at my parents house. I cant do this! I took a deep breath as the front door opened.

"Babe calm down." Alex said walking in the room grabbing my waist pulling me towards him.

"That's not possible. When am I ever calm?" I asked smiling. He kissed my cheek and I put my arms around his neck.

"Everything gonna be okay. They know what he did." Alex said kissing my head.

"I think we need to go." I said and he nodded before letting me go and we made out way to the lounge. It'll be okay, he's right. Or so I thought...
______

Everyone was professional looking, expect him.

I wanna punch that bastard in the face. You can't. I know.

We sat on our side of the room with our lawyer next to us. And let me say, I was nervous as hell. Like I could have a mental breakdown or something but no time for that.

The judge spoke and we did all we needed. "Mr Stone why do you think you should be able to see Elijah?" The judge asked.

"I should have the right to see my son. I should have the custody right to him because he doesn't have a stable parent." He said and I took a deep breath.

"Miss Way why do you think you should have full custody of Elijah?"

"Your honour I think I should keep my son because I indeed do have a stable home, job, and no criminal record." I said and he nodded.

"Mr Stone said you arent stable. Is that true?" He asked and I tilted my head.

"If I may ask, what do you mean by 'not stable'." I asked and he nodded.

"We have reports of you being in the hospital for suicide attempts and self harm, correct?" He asked and I nodded.

"I haven't even thought of doing that since I was 16." I told him and he nodded.

"And Mr Stone we have the reports of three rapes from your lifetime and you were in jail for three years before you were let out, correct?" The judge asked and he sighed.

"Yes." He said and the judge nodded. "But your honor, I've changed since then." He said and I scoffed.

"We are going to take a 15 minute recess and come back when I have my decision." The judge said and we were dismissed. I went out with my lawyer to Alex and he hugged me.

"So apparently he's 'changed'." I said and Alex shook his head. "Yeah sure. Seasons change, people don't." I said crossing my arms.

"Bu-" my lawyer started.

"Nobody like that changes." I said and he nodded. I heard footsteps and turned around to come face to face with him.

Can I punch him? No you're dead. Fine be like that.

"You know I'm gonna get to see him." He said cockily. Fuck this.

"We all know you didn't 'change'." I growled and he laughed.

"Then why do I have Olivia and Grayson back?" He asked smirking.

Soon we were back in the court room and getting the news of if that asshole got to see Elijah or not. "Mr Stone gets Elijah two days every other week. This takes affect a week after his third birthday. And when he's older he gets to choose if he wants to go or not." The judge said and dismissed us. Okay, good, not that much. Oh god. We walked out, I thanked my lawyer and he left.

"Are you okay?" Alex asked hugging me.

"I mean, he doesn't get to see him for 5 months. So pretty good." I shrugged and kissed his cheek.

"Why don't we go get Elijah and make sure Jack didn't burn down the apartment?" He asked and I nodded.

"Yeah... Let's go." I said quietly and we went to leave.

"I will see you soon." He said while we walked out.

"Five months if you knew when Elijah's birthday was." I spat and he scoffed.

"When is it?" He spat.

"January 7th." I said and he scoffed.

"Fine I'll see you then."
