Chapter 2
I woke up in a beautiful room with pale lavender walls and a huge bed with a vanity to the side and a door which I think leads to the bathroom on the right. Just then a girl walked in.
“My Lady Prince Damien requests your presence in the throne room,” she said looking down.
“What’s your name?” I asked.
“Sonja My lady,’ she said shyly with her eyes glued to the floor. I stepped in front of her and tilted her chin up to look at me.
“No need to look at the floor while speaking to me and my name is Schuyler but you can call me Sky for short,” I told her.
“But that would be disrespectful my lady, I am nothing but a servant girl,” Sonja said.
“I insist, Please, Sonja?” I asked.
“Ok, Sky,” she said.
“Now, will you show me the way to the throne room?” I asked her.
“Right this way, Sky,” She said. She led me through a maze of hallways, down a flight of grand steps and finally we stopped at a grand door.
“I will wait for you here,” she said.
“Thank you, Sonja” I said
She smiled and replied ‘you’re welcome’.
When I walked into the throne room it was completely empty except for the man sitting on the throne. He was the same man from the forest who said I was to be his bride.
“Well you do remember who I am so lets cut to the chase, last night I changed you, you are now a vampire and you will become my wife very soon it does not matter if you do not want to be my wife because you have no choice or say in the matter, I do hope I make myself clear.” He said.
“No you do not because I refuse to marry you; you should have killed me, now I am a monster like you.”I replied.
He smirked and said, “It really doesn’t matter if I am a monster or not because as I said you have no choice or say in the matter and if you refuse to complete your wifely duties. I will force you to make no mistake about it.” He said.
“And as I said I refuse to marry you and you CANNOT MAKE ME!” I shouted. In a flash I was pinned against the wall with him glaring down at me.
“I would watch my tongue if I were you and as for your little outburst……trust me I bet I can, now go to your room and wait till’ I come there.” He said dismissing me with a wave of his hand.
“I HATE YOU!” I screamed, he didn’t even turn around or acknowledge me. I turned and ran from the room right into Sonja’s arms. I don’t know how we got there but next thing I know we are sitting on the bed with Sonja holding me and murmuring comforting words in my ear.
“Sky, would you like to tell me what’s wrong?” Sonja asked. So I told her everything that happened in the throne room and she just held me while I cried. When I was finished she put on a bath for me in the luxurious bathroom and when I was done brought some dinner up for me then tucked me into bed and left but I couldn’t fall asleep so I stayed awake and stared at the ceiling. When I heard the door creak open I quickly shut my eyes and pretended to sleep.
“I know you’re awake,” I heard him say.
