Chapter 4
I woke up to the sound of birds chirping and someone’s light snoring and when I turned around I came face to face with a sleeping Damon. I turned around and tried to quietly slip from the bed but his grip just tightened and when I turned around his eyes were open staring at me with a starry expression.
“Where do you think you are going?” he asked staring at me intently.
“To the bathroom” I said and he let go of me and I quickly scampered into the bathroom. When I looked in the mirror I saw a different me my blue eyes were swollen and puffy from crying and I had bags under my eyes. I quickly brushed my teeth and hopped into the shower. When I was finished bathing and washing my hair I stepped out and grabbed the fluffy towel from off the rack and wrapped it around me. I started turning around looking for my clothes only to realize I didn’t bother bringing any. I groaned when I remembered that Damon was still in the room.
After 15 minutes of thinking I finally decided to just run into my closet and dress quickly. “Ok” I whispered to my self and in my head I said 1…2….3 and then opened the bathroom door ready to make a run for it only to realize that no one was in the room. So I simply walked over to the closet picked out a simple white sundress that reached down to my knees and black pumps. I dried my hair with a blow drier then flattened it out. I opened the door and walked out into the corridor deciding to explore. I was studying some portraits on the wall when I ran strait into something or should I say someone. I looked forward to see a girl about my age with Silver eyes like Damon but chestnut hair. Looking closely she bore a striking resemblance to Damon except for the hair. She looked at me and smiled extending her hand.
“Hi, I’m, Rehana, Damon’s sister,” she said kindly. Oh so that explained the resemblance.
“Hi, I’m-,” I began but she cut me off.
“Schuyler, I know my new sister-in-law,” she squealed hugging me. I smiled but hey! Don’t blame me; I couldn’t help myself the girls happy go luck attitude affected me. Just then my stomach growled and I blushed. She laughed.
“I’m guessing you’re hungry, huh?” she said. I blushed more and nodded. “Well let’s go down to the dining room, the others must be there by now,” Others?
“What others?” I asked.
“Oh, Our friends and I promise you’re going to love them…..even thought they are a bit crazy,” she laughed. The something occurred to me she said ‘dining room’.
“Vampires can eat,” I said incredulously. She looked at me and burst out laughing.”Of course we can!” she said snickering.
When we entered the room they’re 3 guys and 2 girls, they all stopped their chattering when I walked in and started to stare at me. About a minute passed of them staring at me. Then someone cleared their throat and I looked up to see Damon. “Alright, guys stop scaring her,” he said.
Then one of the girls got up from her seat and walked over to me. She had emerald green eyes and she was about 5’3 in height with black hair and red streaks running through it. “That’s Abigail” Rehana whispered to me, “She’s a fairy but we call her spicy fairy cause’ boy does that girl have spirit”.
‘Abigail’ stopped in front of me.
“You are now entering the club of the weirdest people on planet earth-“she said before she was cut off by a cute boy with baby blue eyes and blonde hair. “Speak for yourself pixie,” he said. And she turned around with a livid expression on her face. “Listen here Drew 1, I’m a fairy and 2, stop feeding your face cause’ you are already a cow and horse...you is a corse!” she said the turned around to face me with everyone including me laughing.
“Now as I was saying before that corse interrupted me, you must agree do be yourself and be truthful with as at all time s and most importantly you must always worship the spice in this group and we all know who that is,” she said pointing to herself. “I agree ,” I said.
“Good!” she said. “Well that corse is Drew he is a werewolf, The other boy is Chad an elemental he can control fire, and the girl is Talia she is a witch!”
“Nice to meet you all,” I said. They all smiled. “Are we done yet I’m hungry” Chad said. And with that we all began to eat.
