Chapter 8
This morning I woke up with a horrible dry feeling in my throat. I felt so parched and it was like my veins were sand paper rubbing together. It was excruciating. I started to scream. I opened my eyes and saw Damon holding something over me and I looked closely and saw it was a bottle of blood.
“Shhh…drink this, I know it hurts but this will make the pain go away,” he said and tipped the bottle to my lips. As soon as the liquid hit my throat, I was in heaven. I can’t even explain it, the taste was indescribable. I drank until the pain ebbed away.
When I looked up Damon was smiling.
“How do you feel?” He asked.
“I feel…..amazing,” I said and I wasn’t lying, I felt absolutely amazing. I felt stronger, like I could do anything and everything looked, smelled and felt so much more defined. I could literally see the dust molecules in the air. The air was so……vibrant and alive with energy. It was enchanting.
“Good, why don’t you get ready and meet me down stairs for breakfast,” he said. I nodded my head and he quickly kissed me and left.
When I went into the bathroom and took a look in the mirror, I did a double take. The person staring back at me was….stunning. I mean I knew it was me but I looked so much better. My eyes were more vibrant and shining, my hair... You could see all the different colours, different strands of red, black, and chestnut. My body had all the curves in all the right places and overall I was perfect.
So this is how you change when you turn into a vampire. I went through my normal morning routine and dressed in a Deep purple dress just above my knees and flounced out with a pair of sandals. Leaving my hair down me walked into the dining room, as soon as I entered all conversation stopped and everyone turned to me their mouths opened, well all except Damon who just smiled at me.
“I told you…she is even more beautiful as a vampire,” He said.
“Ohhh…man I really am jealous of you now!” Chad said.
“Gosh…if you weren’t my best friend’s girlfriend, I would totally date you,” Drew said, winking at me causing me to blush.
“Why don’t the two of you shut up and stop thinking with your dicks, bunch of horny, hormonal asses,” Abigail said then continued, “And you look stunning,” she said. I blushed even more.
“You finally got a girl who is beautiful and and isn’t a slut…..I’m so proud of you,” Talia said nudging Damon who was grinning madly.
“Well, I for one think that I have the bestest most beautifullest sister-in-law,” Rehana said.
“You do know that bestest and beautifullest aren’t words right… and I agree with everyone you are absolutely beautiful,” Damon said while Rehana stuck her tongue out at him.
“Can we stop paying attention to me now…please??” I asked. The all laughed but did as I asked. As we were finishing up breakfast a guard rushed in.
“The Queen is here and she requests the presence of Lady Schuyler and Prince Damon,’ He said then rushed out again. I started to freak out, she wasn’t due for another day. Damon and I quickly rushed for the throne room and the sight that greeted us when we opened the door made me gasp.
