Chapter 17

“I can’t believe Sonja would betray us like that,” Rehana said from her seat next to Liam. We were currently in the library discussing Sonja’s betrayal after I showed them the note and told them everything that happened.

“Yes, it is quite unbelievable but never the less we must continue with battle plans,” Arianna said. She must have noticed the incredulous looks on our faces because she sighed. “I know that this betrayal may strike you deep but we must move on, such thing happen in life.”

“You’re right,” Chad said. After that we all left the room. Before I turned the corner that led to Damon’s room I felt someone grab my arm and on reflex I turned around, ducked and delivered a roundhouse kick knocking the person’s feet out from under them. Then I realized that person was Abigail.

“What the hell you crazy BITCH!” she yelled while getting up and rubbing her behind.

“I’m sorry, it was a reflex action,” I said.

“Whatever come on I need to talk to you,”

She led me outside to the deserted training grounds. She turned to face me with a mischievous grin.

“Ok well as you know your power connects you to the earth and all living creatures so you can draw energy from them,” she said.

“Yeah….” I trailed off wondering where she was going with this.

“Well since I’m a faerie I’m more connected to the nature and all its elements and that is what I’m going to teach you to do; be part of nature,” she said.

“Ok so how does this work?” I asked her.

“Well first I want you to close your eyes and activate your power,” I did as she asked and when I opened my eyes the energy was all around me and I could see Abigail’s green aura.

“Good, now you can see the energy around you and you can feel it but right now I want you to block out every other thing except nature’s energy, focus on the trees and the flowers,”

I concentrated on doing what she told me. I saw an oak tree behind Abigail and focused on it. I focused on how the branches twisted around eachother as if dancing and how the tree’s aura bounced around it like a ball and all of a sudden all I could see were the flowers and the trees.

Each aura was unique, different. I distantly heard Abigail talking to me.

“You’re doing great, now I want you to copy and mold that energy, make a plant grow using the energy you gathered from around you,” she said.

I followed the energy patterns in the flowers and worked on copying it to make my own, after I was sure I had traced every single detail of the flower’s energy I focused my attentions on a small patch of ground and began to mold the energy into a flower and I watched in wonder as a single flower rose from the grown with a purple aura around it. I had done it.

I quickly shut of my power to see the flower through my normal vampire eyes. It was a beautiful purple rose.

“Very impressive, remember to merge all the things you’ve learned together when fighting Setriana because trust me you’ll need it,” Abigail said.

“Thanks but how come you decided to teach me this?” I asked her curiously. She grinned at me.

“Because you’re family now and families make each other stronger and your fight with Setriana is in six days so I thought you might want some tricks up your sleeve,” I grinned back at her.

“Thanks Abigail.”

“No problems now let’s get going.”

Later when we were lounging around the library, Liam brought up a very embarrassing incident.

“………………Then I told her that I was a representative for the English Pureblood Society and the expression on her face was hilarious!” he finished the story and everyone was laughing. At me.

“Ok ,ok ha ha we’ve all had a good laugh can’t we just drop it?” I muttered embarrassedly.

“I can’t believe you thought he was the spy!” Rehana said laughing.

“Whatever,” I got up and walked out of the room and I WALKED not STORMED out because I do not storm out of anywhere. I walked to the bench in the garden and sat on it looking at the roses and carnations that lined the walkway.

“Aw…you didn’t have to storm out like that we were only having some harmless fun,” Damon said sitting beside me. Ok so maybe I stormed out.

I made some noncommittal noise. Damon pulled me onto his lap.

“You know you can’t stay mad at me for long.” He said in a sing song voice while nuzzling my neck. I sighed he was right.

“Fine,” I said but turned my head away from him stubbornly.

“But you got to admit you were pretty stupid for suspecting Liam,” he said bursting out in loud laughter and that’s when I turned around and hit him. Very hard.

Idiots we all know one but sadly for me I’m in love with one.
