Chapter Eleven

*Wendy's Point of View*

Me and Carla are at the cafe eating breakfast when I see (YN) walk in with Natsu. I wave to her and motion for her to come over and eat with us. 'They make a cute couple' I think to myself as they sit down across from us at our booth.

*My point of view*

We walk into the cafe to be greeted by Wendy and Carla. "Hey (YN), hi Natsu. Do you guys want to come sit with us." Wendy says as she waves us to come over.

I look over to Natsu to see if it is okay. He looks a bit disappointed but then smiles and nods assuring me that it's fine. 'Maybe he wanted it to just be the two of us.' I think to myself as we walk to the booth.

We order our food and make small talk as we wait. "Hey (YN) do you mind explaining this whole mate thing to me. Grandine never told me about it before she left." Wendy ask with a slight upset face.

"Oh well, it's a bit more complicated than it seems." I start to explain. "Since dragons are animals they can mate and find there partners which they will be with for the rest of there lives." I start slightly blushing thinking about my future with Natsu.

"And since dragon slayers are practically the human versions of dragons, we too can mate. When a dragon slayer finds their mate, it's like a bond like no other. It can never be broken and our partners are our greatest treasures." I say taking a hold of  Natsu's hand. He grabs it back and I smile at him.

"How do you know that you have found your mate." Wendy ask with great interest on the subject. "Well a dragon Slayer usually doesn't find there mate until there eighteen, so you won't have to worry about finding yours Wendy, for a little while at least.

But when they finally, do it happens when they first make eye contact. They get a feeling like the world is crashing down on them, but in a good way, and it's like nothing else in the world matters but the two. It sort of just....happens, and you never know until you meet them, like how I didn't know until I met Natsu." I say almost reliving the moment I first laid eyes on Natsu.

"Although the pair isn't officially mated until they seal there bond by uh...umm....y-you know what never mind." Natsu says trying to explain to Wendy how dragons "mate". I giggle at his attempt and embarrassment as our waitress comes back with our food.

"Here you go, enjoy." She says placing down the food. "And if is there "anything" else I can get you, I'll be over at the counter." The waitress says to Natsu as she smiles all sweetly while trying to push her petite breast together to make them seem fuller. I mentally scoff at her actions.

"Uh.. nothing right now, but thank you...Brittany." Natsu replies smiling as he peeks at the name plate on her chest. "Okay well just call me if you need anything." She says putting emphasis on the word "anything."

"We will." He says waving her off completely clueless that she was flirting with him. "Well she was nice." Natsu says stuffing a face full of pancakes. "Yeah, too nice." I say pretending I'm not jealous. I'm usually not the jealous type but seeing some trick flirt with my mate makes my blood boil to a point of no return. "What do you mean." Natsu asks still completely clueless. "Never mind."

The four of us walk to the guild in silence beside the sounds of Wendy's skipping and Natsu trying to get Carla to smile. "Oh come on Carla, just one smirk." Natsu pleads. "Under no circumstances will I ever smile for no good reason by your command." She says extremely annoyed. I smile at his foolishness.
