XXXVII. Empty Hallways

I walk these empty halls, full of empty kids.
Kids are failing, suicide is on the rise.
The teenagers are drinking to get away from their problems.
We are all lost in society, with broken minds and twisted hearts.
Death seems better than the lives we live in, and so many kinds think this.
They pop pills of Xanax to take exams we so desperately dread.
These empty halls full of drugged up kids who long to feel something other than sadness.
Kids are killing themselves, doing drugs, killing their minds and who they are inside.
When will people realize our society and reality is so terribly wrong.
We are nothing more than a body with an empty soul in empty hallways.
