Matty soon came back from the bathroom but he was acting differently.

"What's wrong?" I shouted to him, so I could be heard over the music.

"Nothing. It doesn't even fucking matter!" Matty said annoyed.

"What's wrong! I'm not going to stop asking til you tell me."

You asked him 6 more times before he finally gave in. He grabbed your hand and led you to the bathroom again.

"It's a year since my Nan died." Matty told me with tears forming in his eyes.

"Oh god. I didn't realise. I'm so sorry." I held him tightly in my arms and let him cry on me.

He pulled out the bag again and set up 10 more lines.

"5 each." He said.

You both had 5 lines and then you took the nearly full bag of powder, card and note off of him, he was so out of it to even notice.

You two went back out on the dance floor and found Ross and Adam chatting up the same girl and George had his tongue down some girls throat like he was examining it or something.

I excused myself and let Matty know I was just going to the bathroom.

As soon as I got to the bathroom I set up on the counter I get the card, the note and the bag of powder.

I empty the whole bag of powder on the counter and put it in lines.

What kind of a girlfriend forgets when their boyfriends Nan died. I'm so ashamed.

There were so many lines on the counter that I stopped counting after about 10. I started with one and then didn't stop until ever last drop was gone. This was the only thing that keeping e sane. I'd absolutely ruined everything with Matty.

Once I'd finished I put the card and note in my pocket and left the bathroom.  I immediately saw Matty and as soon as he spotted me I saw relief encapsulate his body.

"Where were you? You were gone for ages. Are you okay?" Matty asked panicked.

"I was at the bathroom like I told you. I wasn't gone that long. I'm fine. Sorry for being a shit girlfriend, I'm so sorry I forgot about today. I understand if you don't love me anymore."

"Hey, don't get upset, its fine. Look today is nearly over, lets think to tomorrow. I still love you so much." Matty said, wiping away the tears that had slipped from my eyes.

"Lets go and enjoy the last few minutes of today." Matty said taking my hand and guiding you to the dance floor.

My hips swayed in rhythm with the music and Matty wrapped his arms around me tightly and swayed with me.

This was the moment I wanted to live in forever.
