I'm Sorry For Letting You Down

I guess I had eventually fallen asleep because I woke laying down on the couch. I sighed and sat up. I felt like every bone in my body was cracking as I stretched. I winced in pain as I straightened up. I picked up my phone to check the time. It was 10:15. I groaned. I had only gotten about five hours of sleep. I walked past the bunk area and into the front lounge. To my surprise, Danny was already up and sitting across from Tyler. I practically had to do a double take to make sure it was really Danny. If we hadn’t had that fight last night, I probably would’ve joked about it.

“I’ll just leave you two alone,” Tyler murmured grabbing his cereal bowl and taking it into the back lounge. I wished he hadn’t left. I wasn’t sure if I was ready to talk to Danny yet, but I guess I didn’t have much of a choice now.

I reluctantly sat down across from Danny after getting myself some cereal. He didn’t say anything at first. I guess he didn’t want me to scream at him or anything. “I’m ready to talk,” I said playing with my cereal.

He looked over me looking as reluctant as I felt. “Cass, I have no idea how that got in my bag. Someone probably put it in there by mistake. If I was doing drugs again, you’d know, though. You’d smell it on me or catch me doing it. We live on a pretty small tour bus, babe,” he told me. His eyes had this pleading look in them almost begging me to believe him. I could practically feel myself caving in. He had that affect on me. He could do almost anything and I’d end up forgiving him. “And you know I would never lie to you. Especially about something like that,” he added.

We were both silent for a moment. “And just so you know, I threw the bag in the trash at the venue,” he told me. I could just imagine how painful this whole thing probably was for him.

“I believe you,” I responded quietly. I loved him too much to stay mad at him for too long and I could tell he was telling the truth. Now, there was just one thing left to talk about. “Who were those girls last night?” I questioned just as quietly as before.

He shrugged. “I don’t know, but I didn’t even say hi to them. I wouldn’t do that to you. I’m not about to screw up the best thing in my life for some slut I’ll never see again,” he replied with a small smile. I couldn’t help but smile back. I pushed my cereal out of the way to lean over the table and kiss him with everything I had.

“I take it your not mad at me anymore?” he questioned as I came up for air. I just shook my head, smiled, and gave him another long passionate kiss.

“I love you so much, Cassidy,” he whispered pulling away for a moment. I felt his lips lock back on mine. It was like he never wanted to stop.

“I love you, too, Danny,” I replied breathing heavily and gasping for air. I quickly got up and walked around the table. He pulled me onto his lap as best he could and crashed his lips into mine.

“I’m glad to see you two made up,” we heard Tyler’s voice say. We pulled apart as I felt my face get hot. He just smiled at us and put his bowl in the sink.

As soon as Tyler walked off the bus, Danny kissed me again. After another good five minutes, we ended up moving to the back of the bus. He closed the door and eyed me hungrily. He sat down and put his hands on my hips pulling me back onto his lap. It wasn’t too long after that clothes were flying off. I let love take over and decided not to car if anyone heard us.
