Chapter 6: Smoothies and Moans
-Arlo's POV-
It didn't rain, but the clouds were still fat and gray. I really wanted to kiss JC in the rain. We walked into a smoothie cafe on campus and we were immediately hit with cool air. "I love smoothies so much." I said as we walked up to the counter. "Hi." I smiled at the girl at the register. "What would you like today?" She smiled back at both of us. "We'll both have a strawberry banana smoothie. And he'll have a chocolate chip muffin." JC ordered and I smirked. He knew me so well. "Is that all?" She asked as she typed stuff into the register in front I her. "Yep." I popped the 'p' and she nodded.
"Here you go." She gave us out orders and JC payed. I didn't argue, if he wanted to pay he could pay. We sat at a booth by the window and watched people pass by. "This is like Heaven." I moaned into the straw and I sipped up the pink goodness. "Can I have a bite of your muffin?" JC asked me eyeing my chocolate chip muffin. I snickered at how wrong that sounded. "Oh stop being so immature." He rolled his eyes and took my muffin. He took a big bite out of it that made my jaw drop. Aw hell nah. Bitch went all fucking dinosaur on my shit. "I'm never letting you have a "bite" of any of my food again." I muttered and took back my muffin.
"Hey," JC and I looked up to see a girl standing in front if our table. "Hi?" It came out more like a question but she wasn't paying any attention to me. She put her rosy red hair behind her shoulder. She had tanned skin that looked extremely natural and beautiful. Her eyes were hazel, but they looked more light green. "Did you guys just start?" She asked but didn't look at me, she was to busy staring at my boyfriend. "Yeah, we did. You?" He smiled acting friendly. He wasn't like that with anyone - boy or girl. "I did." She winked and then giggled. She had on booty shorts that were white and a black tank top tucked into them. She wore hot pink nikes, and had a tattoo on her wrist of a butterfly. "So do you have a girlfriend?" She asked JC still ignoring my existence. "Actually," I cut JC off before he could say anything. "He doesn't have a girlfriend. Shocked right?" She turned her gaze to me and nodded looking me over. "That's a good thing though, it's good for me." She said seductively and winked at JC. "No, it's not. He isn't straight. He's gay, he has a boyfriend, and he's mine." I said possessively and she blinked a couple of times. "You're gay?" She turned to JC and frowned as if she didn't understand. He nodded and she stood quiet for a moment. "You know," she began slowly. "I could change that for you." She but her lip trying to act sexy and fluttered her lashes. "Back up bitch." I snapped at her and both her and JC looked at me. JC was used to this though, me being rude to everyone that flirts with him. But this was crazy. They usually left when I told them he wasn't straight anymore. "I'd like if you didn't use profanity." She told me snootily. "And I'd like it if you'd stop bothering my boyfriend." I was ready to get up and slap a ho. But no, I'm a good boy.
"He doesn't seem to mind." She said and pecked her lips in JC's direction. "I will chloroform you and throw you in a fucking furnace." I growled. I glared at me before winking at JC an walking away. "Oh and hey slut," I called to her. She turned around sneering at me. A couple people liked our way curiously. "Nice camel toe."
"Arlo are you mad?!" JC ran over to my side. I had stormed away from him after what happened in the smoothie cafe. I actually ran and he groaned stomping his feet before running up to me. "Yes." I tried to walk ahead I him but he just kept following me. Bad boyfriend, bad. He grabbed my upper arm roughly and began to drag me toward the dorms. "Let go of me JC." I tried pulling myself free, and prying his grip off of my arm, but it didn't work. "JC-"
"Arlo, shut up."
That made me snap my mouth closed. The way he said it... He had no right to be pissed! What did I do? Nothing. I did nothing that would make him mad. If anything I should be -and I am- mad with him. Not the other way around.
