Chapter 9: Staring and Bathrooms
---Fernando's POV---
"Daniel?" My voice came out weird. It was a mix of surprise, anger, and curiosity. "Fernando?" He looked confused, his eyes looked at everyone sitting at the the table. "Danny, so glad you could make it." Sebastian stood up, pushing his chair back in the process, and went to give Daniel a big as if they'd been long lost friends. "Don't call me that." Daniel softly whispered looking embarrassed. What the heck was going on here. I looked at Arlo only to find he was already looking at me.
Sebastian told Daniel to sit down next to JC, so now, Daniel sat across from me. I glared darkly as the blonde boy took a seat across from me. His blue-green eyes swept across the table looking at everyone. He gave everybody a soft smile that irked the hell out of me. "What is he doing here?" I asked without taking my eyes off of Daniel. He was so weird looking. He had fluffy blonde hair, big blueish-green eyes, and tanned skin. He wasn't short, but he wasn't tall either, and he had weird dancer legs. He wasn't muscled, but he wasn't twig thin either. He creeped me out. He didn't talk to me wither which posses me off, but I was glad he didn't make any effort to talk to me. I'd probably just snap at him.
"Oh Fernando. Did you really think I'd invite My roommate, and Arlo's roommate without inviting yours?" Sebastian gave me an innocent look that looked like nothing but pure evil to me. "You would have invited JC anyway, he's Arlo's boyfriend." I calmly said even though I was wanting to rip Sebastian into pieces. "Wow thanks guys." Sebastian's roommate rolled his eyes, but no one was paying attention the red headed boy.
"Hello," A voice interrupted Sebastian and I's stare down. Everyone at the table looked up to see the waitress. "I'm Grace, and I'll be your waiter this evening." She smiled looking at all of us. "Can I start ya'll of with any drinks?" She flipped open her note book and clicked her blue pen on. "Yeah," JC awkwardly said. I didn't hate JC, not at all. I just didn't want him to hurt Arlo, I was being a good friend. A little over protective, but a good friend nonetheless. "I'll have a coke." Sebastian piped up happily bouncing in his seat a little bit. "So will I." Daniel pointed his index finger in the air a little bit. "I'll have a sprite." The red head told her, I should really learn his name. "I'll have a lemonade, and he'll have a doctor pepper." Arlo told the waitress ordering for JC also. "I'll have a doctor pepper to." I sighed and rubbed n temples with my fingers. "Alright, I'll be right back." She smiled before walking away, her light brown pony tail swinging.
"So I think tonight, we should all get to know each other." Arlo smiled before giving me a warning glance. Yeah yeah; I'll behave myself. Usually I was the one giving him that look. "Lets all introduce ourselves to Daniel first," he suggested. "I'm Arlo, and this is my boyfriend JC."
"I'm Sebastian, I realized I only told you that I was your roommates brother."
"And I'm Austin." The red head said.
"Cool," Daniel nodded.
The waitress was back with our drinks. "Can we order appetizers?" Sebastian asked her. I stared at Daniel annoyed by his presence. Why won't he talk to me, or look at me? Stuck up loser thinking he is better then everyone. Daniel looked around the restaurant, then, his eyes landed on me. We stared at each other for a while. No expression on our face at all. My stomach began to feel empty. What was his deal? Someone cleared their throat, Daniel broke our gaze, but I continued to watch him. "What kind of appetizer would you guys like?" Austin asked. "Whatever you guys want, it matter to me." I shrugged and Daniel nodded agreeing. "Chips and salsa." Sebastian and everyone else turned back to the waitress she nodded and left. "I'm going to the bathroom," I stood up. "Lets go Arlo." I pushed my chair in. "Wait what?" He looked confused but stood up anyways. I didn't say anything, I just walked forward knowing Arlo would most likely follow.
He did.
"What do you want? I know you don't really have to use the restroom." He said as he shut the door behind him. "Why did Seb invite him?" My voice was hard and strained in annoyance. "I don't know, why didn't you ask him to come in here instead of me?" He irately sighed putting his hands on his hips. "Because Sebastian is an ass and I don't want to talk to him right now. I'm to pissed off."
"What was that back there?"
"What are you talking about?"
Arlo stared at me for a while.
"What as you talking about Arlo?"
"You and Daniel were staring at each other."
I felt my face twist in disgust, ew, he actually looked at me. But isn't that what you wanted? For him to acknowledge you? "Yeah, I was staring at him hatefully because he is a stuck up imbecile." I sneered. "He just seems shy to me." He shook his head as if I were wrong. "No, he's stuck up. He moves so gracefully that it's wrong, he doesn't talk or look at me. He doesn't even make an effort to. At first I thought he was mute or something but that was before he picked up his phone and walked out of the room." I told him remembering what happened Friday. "You just met the dude! You can't hate someone that quickly." Arlo threw his hands in they air. "Watch me." I walked past him and out of the bathroom into the depths of hell that was the table where Daniel sat.
