Chapter 7: Four

I wake up, happy for today. I hurry up so I can meet up Tris at school. I leave home without eating breakfast and I walk as fast as I can to school. Then I make it to school and I look at my watch and it's the time when I met Tris yesterday. So I go walking to my locker and wait until she comes, but I don't see her and the bell is about to ring and I'm constantly thinking is she is alright. The bell rings and I think to myself probably I will see Tris at class since I didn't see her right now. I enter class but I don't see Tris in there and I'm worried if something must have happened today. First period ends and I'm on my way to P.E. and I'm hoping if she will be there, but I come outside the locker room, she wasn't there. Almost the whole day passed by and it's lunch already and Zeke asks me "Hey Four where is your girlfriend at?" I look at him and I punch him on his arm "Tris isn't my girlfriend yet and I haven't seen her all day and I'm worried if something bad happened to her" I say. "Oh that sucks huh" Then I see her coming this way looking bothered and mad. Then she sits down and I just look at her worried for her and Zeke says "Hey Tris where have you been?" "Non of you business" she says. Then I finally say "Hey Tris are you okay?" "Yeah I'm okay just leave me alone" "Why aren't you eating lunch?" "Not hungry" Then I pick up my apple and hand it to her and she just looks at me and slowly takes the apple and takes a small bite and I say "Well I guess you were hungry after all" "Don't rub it in Four" she says. I just smile at her. Then Zeke says "Well I have to go but see you guys later" and he leaves. I'm left alone with Tris and I tell her "Tris can I talk to you for a minute?" "Sure" and we leave the cafeteria and walk to the bleachers and sit down. I say "Tris so do I come over to your house for you know the project" "I don't know Four but I'll let you know" "Do you want to come over to my house instead?" "I'm not sure" "Oh come on" I plead her and she nods. After school I meet her at the lockers and she is there waiting and we both leave to my house and she doesn't say a thing the whole way and I just look at her with a worried look at my face. When we finally made it to my house, we go up to my room and it's filled with silence. Then she says "Four can I tell you something?" "Yeah sure" "Okay is that yesterday you know how we were at my house working on the project" "Yeah" "Well my dad said that I couldn't be friends with you and I was prohibited not to see you or even hang out with you and I got so mad that I started yelling at him that it wasn't fair that I can't have you as my friend so that is why I came late to school and was in a bad mood" I just stay there looking at her and she looks sad and I say "Tris it's okay, I'll be here for you no matter what happens " and I take her hands and she just looks at me and then a smile comes into her face. I smile at her too and then I realize that she is different and special to me and that I just want to help her with whatever she needs.
