Chapter 13: Four

I leave her home and we both had a great time together. When I get home I climb up to my window and when I enter  my room I see him there my dad furious and I say to him "Dad let me explain" "Don't explain nothing because you escaped in the middle of the night to be with your girlfriend under my nose!" "I left to ask her something" "Sure you were Tobias, and if you needed to ask her something why didn't you wait until tomorrow?" "Well I-" "You disobeyed my rules and now you have to pay the price!" I see him taking out his belt and getting ready to beat me so bad. I walk to the edge of my room and he comes closer and closer. Finally when he is close enough he raises his belt and starts beating me. The pain is so horrible that I can't handle it no more. Then I hear him say "This is for you own good!" and I start yelling from the pain. Then my dad leaves and says "I'm done Tobias and you should think twice before you have to pay the price!" And with that I am left alone in my room with my body in a lot of pain and I try to go to sleep and trying to think about Tris to make me feel better. I eventually fall asleep. I wake up and I realize it's Friday and I leave home and as I walk my whole body still hurts from yesterday. I open my locker and then I feel someones hands covering my eyes and then I say "Tris is that you?" And then the hands disappear. When I turn around I see Tris in a good mood and she says "Good morning Four" "Good morning" Then she hugs me and I wince and she asks "Are you okay Four because I just hugged you and you winced" "Yeah I'm okay is that I'm just sore" "Oh okay" I don't want to make her feel bad so I hugged her back. Then I say "we have forty minutes left before first period so can we go to the same place from yesterday to talk?" "Sure" We walk to the same place and she says "What is it Four?" "I have to show you something" "Okay what is it?" Then I take off my shirt and I see her face confused and I turn around and I look back and I see her expression and she is shocked. "What happened Four?!?" "My dad beat me up because he found out that I escaped to be with you" I turn and put back my shirt on and she has a sad look and I say "Hey it wasn't you fault okay" "But I feel that it is my fault Four" "No its not I came up with the idea Tris" Then I hug her so she won't feel bad about thinking that it was her fault.
