Chapter 23: Four

I look at Tris worried about her safety. Then I say "Are you okay Beatrice?" She looks at me and says "Did you just call me from my real name?" "Well yeah, to give it a shot. No good?" "It's good after all you did save my life Tobias" I stare at her and my heart starts to beat faster than usual. Then she gets closer to me and I just stare at her pretty face and then she kisses me and I kiss her back. I move forward to the wall with her in my arms and we don't stop kissing. Then I pull away and say "Tris let's get out of here" "Why? Anywhere with you I feel safe", then she keeps on kissing me but I say "That's sweet but we seriously have to go" She soon agrees and we leave the building and I take her home. We say goodbye to each other and I start to walk home and when I get in my dad looks sad and I say "Hi dad, can I ask you what's wrong?" "She's dead" "What? Who is dead" "Your mother!" I look at him shocked to hear that and then tears come into my eyes but I blink them away before he sees me about to cry. "She died in a car crash and when I got the news I couldn't believe it but now I lost her and I'm stuck with you" "Dad I-" "Ever since you started going out with that girl called Tris, you don't pay attention to you mother and that is why she died because of you!" "Hey its not my fault!" "Yes it is! You killed the only person I loved!" He takes me to my room and throws me against the wall and takes out his belt and starts to hit me again and I couldn't hold my tears back and I also start to yell from the pain. When it's finally over he leaves and closes the door really hard and I'm against the wall with the pain that won't leave me. I try to walk to my bed but I'm weak and every time I try to walk, my body aches and I grin my teeth from groaning. I grab my phone and I text Tris and I tell her what happened and she says that she is sorry for my lose and that it isn't my fault. I only wish she was here with me after we have been through.
