"Hey Sunshine." I hear Petey saying. I turn around, and see him talking to the new guy, Ronnie something. "Suuunshiiine." he sings. "Sunshine!"

Blue and I laugh and get the attention of the few other people around us as Petey keeps taunting "sunshine". "Hey man, all that rubbing ain't gonna make them golden locks grow back any faster, you hear?"

The guy gets up. "Sunshine, huh?" he holds up his hand."That's cool. I can dig it."

Petey turns to look at us in surprise.

"Come on, don't leave me hangin' bro." says Sunshine. Petey gives him a high five then happily jumps back over to us. "He called me bro!"

"Hey, I liked him better with the long hair bro. Reminded me of Bertier's momma." says Blue.

Gerry turns around from where he's standing at his locker. "What?"

"Now, how you know what Bertier's momma looks like?" asks Julius, walking over with Gerry.

"Brother, me and Bertier's momma, went out on the town last night!" says Blue. I laugh.

Gerry walks over angrily. "What are you saying?"

"Hold up, hold up man, listen." says Julius, holding back Gerry. "Blue, why you talking about Bertier's momma like that? See, now you making me feel bad, like I can't take your momma to the prom."

We all laugh, and Gerry realizes that they're joking around.

"What you laughing at, ol' Jerry Buff?" asks Blue, turning on another guy. "YOu need to tell yo mama to shave them old nasty legs of hers." he says. He turns to Julius. "And Julius, when she's done, maybe your mama can borrow the razor, and shave that old nasty back of hers."

Julius runs over, ready to punch Blue.

"Woah woah woah, wait wait wait." says Petey. We all turn to look. Louis is walking over, clutching his back in pain. "Louis Lastik, man, what happened to you?"

Louis groans in pain. "Man , I just gave yo mama a piggy back ride and she weighs twice as much as I do!" he laughs.

Petey freezes when he realizes that Louis was messing with him. He gives an "aww" face.

"Now that's a mama joke!" I laugh.

Blue reaches up and turns on the radio.

Alan and I lock eyes, because we both know I cant resist singing this son.

"Listen baby!" sings Blue. "Ain't no mountain high, ain't no valley low, ain't no river wide enough baby!"

"If you need me, call me. No matter where you are, no matter how far." I sing.

"No no darling!" adds Blue.

"Just call my name, I'll be there in a hurry, you don't have to worry, cause baby-" I continue.

"There ain't no mountain high enough, ain't no valley low enough, ain't no river wide enough, to keep me from getting to you babe!" We all sing. I notice Alan dancing a little, but Ray elbows him and he stops. He starts dancing again, and Ray shoves him, making Alan laugh a little.

I look over, and just see Sunshine practically jump on Gerry, kissing him.

"Ohhhh!" yell a bunch of people. Gerry shoves him off, and takes a swing, but Sunshine ducks. Gerry swings again, and Sunshine shoves him into the ice tank. Gerry angrily pulls himself back up, and Julius grabs him.

Knowing it's settled now, I go back to singing the song. "Cause baby, there ain't no mountain high enough, ain't no valley low enough, ain't no river wide enough, to keep me from getting to you babe."

"There's too much male bonding going on in here today." announces another player named Jason. "I'm out. You dig? He playfully slaps Alan on the chest.

"Cause baby there ain't no mountain high enough." I start.

"Ain't no mountain low enough." continues Alan, coming up next to me. We spin and high five as we continue singing. "Ain't no river wide enough." We dance along. "To keep me from getting to you babe." We point to a person standing across from us, who are singing and dancing too, and they point to us.

Alan avoids Ray's glare, but I catch it on his way out. I hold his stare until he leaves, then go back to singing.

~* Alan*~

Uh oh.

That's the only thing going through my mind. Elizabeth. Caroline. I actually considered breaking up with Elizabeth. That's what started this whole mess in my brain. Would I really have the guts to ask out Carrie? Honestly, I was afraid of breaking up with Elizabeth. Wait, but that shouldn't happen in a relationship, right? I should feel comfortable talking to her. Like with Caroline. Ugh. You know what? It's just been a while since I say Lizzie. When I saw her again, I'd be okay. Right? I hope so.
