"Here we go" I lift up the heavy shot-put ball and toss it out into the field.

"That was terrible." Gerry tells me pointedly.

"I'm a runner, not a powerlifter." I reply

He lifts up the all and lobs it across the field, passing mine by a mile.

"Boo" Calls Alan, walking down the stairs that lead down to the field.

"Hey, I won!" Gerry says to him.

"Boo" continues Alan.

Gerry rolls his eyes. "Whatever man."

I chuckle and walk out to get the sixteen-pound balls of metal that we lobbed across the field. I put one in Gerry's lap and toss mine again, landing about the same distance.

"Are we on for Silver Skillet tonight?" Alan asks.

"I actually can't. I have football stuff." I say disappointedly.

"What kind of football stuff?" Alan asks, sounding genuinely interested.

"Well, I've got to go through and read and sign everyone's physicals, and then I've got to file them for Booth, then I have to copy down all his plays and stuff onto new paper because he spilled coffee on his. I have to-" I stop when Alan and Gerry pretend to fall asleep .

"Y'all are mean." I say, playfully slapping Alan's arm.

"What're you kids doing down here?" Yoast asks, walking over to us with Sheryl.

"Practicing shot-put." I tell Yoast, pointing to the ball in Gerry's lap.

"Let's see what you got." Yoast says to Gerry. gerry hurls the ball down the field, soaring over my piddly throw.

"Boo" Alan says again.

"Would you cut that out?" Gerry asks, laughing.

(A/N) Okay, so for a while, I'm just gonna do short scenes of the next year, because let's face it, I'm not going to write out a whole year, especially since I'm going to South America in three days.
