"You and Alan are so cute." Gerry tells me as we push our way through the heavy traffic
"Oh don't start that." I say.
"Okay okay." He laughs. "But, since we don't exactly have dad, I feel like I need to have this conversation with you." He takes a deep breath. "Sometimes, when a girl and a guy like each other-"
"Gerry I swear I'll get out of the ca right now!" I threaten, grabbing the door handle, laughing.
"Oh thank god." Gerry laughs. "I'm so not having that conversation.
People cheer and whistle as Gerry and I drive by. I my arm out the window and give high fives, and a guy runs along with the car as I give him an autograph.
"This is how I've decided not to be famous." I tell Gerry pointedly, making him chuckle.
"Hey Gerry! You man!" A guy calls to Gerry.
"No! You!" Gerry calls back.
"You!" They scream at each other.
I glance out Gerry's window and scream, right before there's a loud crashing noise and everything goes black."
+ I'm considering finishing up for the night on this cliff hanger, but you guys will hate me, and I'm not tired, so the story goes on.
